We are searching for a technology-focused and strategically minded Product Manager for our internal collaboration platforms and services provided to TELUS team members.


Reporting to the Manager, Collaboration Services, you will take on the role as collaboration portfolio owner to generate maximum platform value, evolve and deliver on the vision and strategy for our ecosystem. You will influence the current and future needs for our collaboration and productivity suite, help shape the roadmap and deliver the very best experience for our team members. You will align with business stakeholders and act as a single point of contact for our portfolio to isolate their needs, refine deployment strategies and support. Our portfolio includes Google Workspace tools, productivity tools like Slack and as well as Microsoft products like Exchange and SharePoint.


You will be at the forefront of charting how to best optimize the team member collaboration experience as well as the journey and constant evolution of the program.

What you'll do


  • Become an expert with the TELUS collaboration and productivity suite of tools and platforms
  • In partnership with leadership develop a strategic plan and roadmap for collaboration and work management platforms and gain alignment on timing of investments and deployment of capabilities
  • Develop and recommend timelines and deliverables for leveraging and evolving the collaboration portfolio
  • Define and standardize Key Performance Indicators that will help aid in the decision-making process and showcase results
  • Represent the team as the main interface with internal business partners and actively engage with them to ensure priority and delivery is aligned with business needs
  • Be a strong advocate for stability and reliability, working closely with vendors on quick resolution of issues and delivery of enhancements to our portfolio
  • Work with the technical team to manage the product backlog to ensure the highest business value is being delivered to our team members
  • Author service initiatives in the form of user stories and project planning for various business use cases
  • Produce and lead go-live release communications that inform a diverse set of partners and/or users of new features and/or changes
  • Lead cross-functional teams to conceptualize, define and implement released features and enhancements to the TELUS community of users
  • Provide operational and project support for cross-functional teams as needed
  • Actively seek opportunities to improve our business processes
  • Creating costing models, estimates and business case inputs
  • The ideal candidate for this role is a team player that believes strongly in continuous improvement and strives to achieve/maintain best-in-class performance through evolution and transformation





What you’ll bring


  • Undergraduate degree in Engineering, Technology or other related fields
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a product management/ownership role or variation of process improvement/program management
  • Team player that’s creative, entrepreneurial, and willing to experiment
  • Agile development ways of working and Saas technology support experience
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management and analytical skills, and ability to develop relationships with key internal and external contacts
  • Known for your ability and agility to excel in a dynamic environment, including proactivity identifying opportunities and challenges, and anticipating and addressing roadblocks
  • Full understanding of area of specialization; resolves a wide range of issues in creative ways; able to develop, maintain and optimize end-to-end processes at TELUS
  • Comfortable to participate in technical discussions and guide product-related decisions in a fair process manner
  • Advanced experience with Google Workspace & Google Meet, including interacting with Google support for troubleshooting activities
  • Experience with one of the following - Slack or




  • Prior experience in a similar role as a product owner for enterprise collaboration and communication technology
  • Experience with collaboration and productivity user experience journeys
  • Understanding of identity management and zero trust concepts
  • Lean Six Sigma, PMP, Agile, or Process Management certifications would be an asset
  • Business and technology modernization and transformation leadership, skill and experience
