Description
The Mobility Postpaid Acquisition Team resides within the Consumer Marketing organization. We are responsible for managing the dynamic world of mobility device pricing for TELUS and Koodo. Our breadth expands from single user mobility acquisition strategy through to multi-product bundling (mobility plus internet, streaming, etc.). This role reports to the Manager of TELUS Acquisition.

We are going through a wave of change in the Postpaid Mobility space. TELUS is positioning itself to be the premium destination for best in class: devices, connected services, customer care, and omnichannel excellence. Our job is to figure out how TELUS can stand out as the #1 carrier of choice for devices - all while delivering a customer first mindset day-in and day-out.
Where Do You Fit In?
As the Product Manager for TELUS Device Pricing, you will work in a fast-paced environment that is heavily reliant on data to inform day to day decisions/operations. Decisions will be made almost every day, with an expectation to support market changes with data based insights. You will collaborate with stakeholders throughout the organization to bring our device pricing portfolio to life. As a key business owner, you will answer “Why TELUS?” when thinking with a device first mindset, while leaning into our rate suite and value propositions.
A successful candidate would be a leader in owning their portfolio, highly effective collaborator, outside-the-box thinker, and problem solver. You will work with an extensive network of stakeholders within and outside of Mobility Marketing to ensure success of our vast TELUS portfolio.
Here’s How:
- Manage our day-to-day device pricing and offers for the TELUS brand across all our various channels such as corporate stores, dealer partners, online and retailers (e.g. Best Buy, Wal-Mart etc.) with the goal of achieving our P&L targets
- Leading TELUS Devices as the marketing genius behind our strategy and execution, while presenting our ideas to stakeholders with strong logic, clarity, and precision
- Take our Certified-Pre-Owned and Trade-In portfolio to new heights, with the goal to leverage both programs as a differentiator for TELUS in the marketplace
- Collaborate with multiple stakeholders across partnerships, product, supply operations, marketing communications, channels, and more, to best position our devices for success
- Deliver best in class go-to-market positioning and channel engagement when we push “Why TELUS?” through Apple, Samsung, Google, etc. smartphones, tablets, and watches
- Proactively identify areas of opportunity in the market to grow TELUS brand mindshare
- Analyze the impact of our decisions, taking into consideration a multitude of variables (such as cost, subscriber loading, market landscape etc.) and incorporate these learnings into future considerations
Qualifications
What You Bring:
- Experience in a pricing, marketing, and/or product management role where you were involved in executing key strategic marketing and/or pricing initiatives
- Storytelling skills with the ability to distill complex data into simple messages
- Analytical skills and comfort interpreting data/trends to derive key insights
- A proven ability to develop strong relationships, collaborate effectively, and influence multiple stakeholders from different teams
- Passionate about continuous improvement and actively challenge the status quo
- Agile thinker with the ability to coordinate multiple initiatives and work within an environment of rapid change
