We are searching for a technology focused and strategically minded Product Manager for our on/offboarding of team members at TELUS. Reporting to the Director, Team Member Experience, you will act as a bridge between various technology teams to evolve and deliver on the vision and strategy for our onboarding journeys. You will drive improvements, help shape the roadmap and deliver the very best experience for all participants in the journey - - hiring leaders, new team members & contractors. Day to day you’ll work in close collaboration with technical and business resources representing our onboarding systems and processes to deliver actionable backlog deliverables and follow them through to completion in order to deliver a seamless experience. 
 
You are part of a team that is responsible for the end-to-end technology experience for TELUS team members that enable productivity and collaboration in our world-leading Workstyles hybrid-work environment. You will be at the forefront of charting how to best optimize the team member onboarding experience as well as the onboarding journey and constant evolution of the program. 

 What you’ll do 
 

  • Become an expert in the end-to-end on and offboarding process, including all systems and infrastructure within the path 
  • Develop the vision and roadmap for onboarding and create/maintain a detailed backlog for improvements, enhancements and fixes 
  • Play a leadership role and liaison for P&C as well as project teams regarding the technical onboarding provisioning process 
  • Provide oversight to ensure stability and reliability in onboarding provisioning 
  • Engage and partner with key stakeholders to support common understanding and vision across the organization 
  • Lead a forum for provisioning teams to meet and discuss issues that have cross team impacts affecting different TELUS corporate systems for provisioning 
  • Responsible for KPIs and onboarding metrics to inform the team’s direction 
  • Lead cross-functional teams to conceptualize, define and implement new features and enhancements 
  • Work with technical teams to obtain initial information required to allow Product/Program Backlog prioritization
  • Author, refine and approve backlog items, with clearly articulated “definitions of done” 
  • Provide operational and project support for cross-functional teams as needed 
  • Prioritize user stories to best achieve business goals, ensuring team understand the scope and expectation of work 
  • Actively seek opportunities to improve our business processes
  • Creating costing models, estimates and business case inputs

What you bring

 

  • Undergraduate degree in Engineering, Technology or other related fields
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a product management/ownership role or variation of process improvement/program management. 
  • Team player that’s creative, entrepreneurial, and willing to experiment
  • Agile development methodologies and cloud technology experience
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management and analytical skills, and ability to develop relationships with key internal and external contacts
  • Known for your ability and agility to excel in a dynamic environment, including proactivity identifying opportunities and challenges, and anticipating and addressing roadblocks
  • Experience with data visualization- Data Studio primarily or Tableau


Great-to-haves
 

  • Prior experience in a similar role as a product owner for internal corporate systems 
  • Experience with onboarding and defining user experience journeys 
  • Lean Six Sigma certification or experience
  • Understanding of identity management and zero trust concepts 
  • PMP, Agile, or Process Management certifications would be an asset
  • Business and technology modernization and transformation leadership, skill and experience
