Private Networks (MPLS, Ethernet, Wavelength) is one of the largest portfolios in Telus Business Solutions and in this key role you’ll have the opportunity to help shape the way our business customers will communicate now and into the future. We work extensively with cross functional teams from various business units across the organization to deliver reliable and enhanced products, features and services to meet our customer needs first strategy as main burner.

What we’ll accomplish together and the impact you’ll make

 

The Product Manager of Private Networks within the Product Marketing team will mainly work on established products of our Public and Enterprise customer base. In this role, you will be responsible for new and existing products and service enhancements to support our business goals, partnering with a wide range of cross functional teams including commercial, technical, finance, operations, etc.

 

Here’s how:

 

  • Be a customer experience champion that helps our Private Networks Product Marketing team to solve business problems
  • Drive innovation and new product features to address market needs, user requests and product goals
  • Work collaboratively with our stakeholder business units to identify and prioritize strategic and tactical initiatives and solutions that have the potential to create competitive advantage
  • Keep informed of emerging marketing capability trends and develop forward-looking strategies and practices
  • Manage the full end-to-end enablement of new products and/or enhancements to existing products, services, from concept through design, development, testing and launch
  • Engage external and internal stakeholders across various business units to ensure cross-functional alignment

 

Qualifications

 

You're the missing piece of the puzzle with:

 

  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent in business, engineering, science or telecommunications
  • 3+ years of experience of product management / development, working with both modern and legacy technology
  • Knowledge of the telecommunications industry in general and Private Networks (MPLS, Ethernet, Wavelength) in particular
  • Experience in the development of business plans including business cases, cost/benefit analysis, revenue potential, pricing models, forecasts, and contracts
  • You are highly self-directed and thrive in a matrix, collaborative environment, with the ability to lead cross functional teams, set priorities and manage time efficiently
  • You are passionate about customer experienc
  • You like things to move fast, and are skilled at using a combination of collaboration, influence, and creativity to overcome barriers hindering progression
  • You are recognized for using data to drive decisions and action
  • You are comfortable communicating at all levels (senior leaders, external stakeholders, partners and developers)
  • You have technical inquisitiveness, and are willing to get into the details of a solution to the degree that you can own the solution as the business prime
  • You are able to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment

 

Nice-to-haves

 

  • Product Management or Process Management certifications would be an asset
