Job Overview:
We are looking for a highly organized and analytical Product Manager to support key initiatives within the SMB Base Management team at TELUS. This role plays an important part in helping the team retain customers, respond to competitive dynamics, and deliver effective base management strategies across the SMB segment.
The successful candidate will contribute to a range of operational and product initiatives including weekly retention reviews, competitive intelligence tracking, escalation management, pricing configuration, dealer budget oversight, and trigger-based retention campaigns.
This role works closely with cross-functional partners across GTM, campaign execution, sales channels, and product operations to bring initiatives to life. It is well-suited for someone who enjoys combining structured problem-solving with collaboration, and who can navigate a dynamic environment while keeping stakeholders aligned and informed.
What You’ll Do:
Retention & Performance Reviews
- Provide weekly performance reporting to monitor retention trends and highlight key insights
- Translate data and competitive signals into clear, actionable recommendations
- Maintain and evolve marketing collateral to support sales enablement and proactive retention efforts
Competitive Intelligence Management
- Track and synthesize competitive moves, including pricing, promotions, and offers
- Share structured insights that help inform retention and pricing strategy discussions
Pricing Configuration & Offer Operations
- Support the configuration of pricing, promotions, and offer structures in internal systems
- Prepare pricing business cases and help ensure offers are implemented in line with approved strategies
- Contribute to the development and rollout of retention initiatives in partnership with product, GTM, and campaign execution teams
Escalation & Process Management
- Lead and continuously improve the approach to retention-related escalations from sales channels and internal teams
- Document escalations, track resolutions, and identify patterns to surface broader customer or process insights
- Support ongoing process improvements to enhance efficiency and team effectiveness
Strategic Initiatives & GTM Communications
- Support GTM communications, offers, and operational readiness for key strategic programs
- Help maintain alignment across teams by tracking milestones and ensuring smooth execution of initiatives
Qualifications
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with SQL or data tools is an assetBachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field
- 3–5 years of experience in product management, strategy, marketing, analytics, or operations
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Clear and effective communication skills, with the ability to work across teams and build alignment
- Ability to translate business needs into practical, operational outcomes
- Comfort working in a dynamic environment with evolving priorities
What You Bring:
Must-Have Capabilities:
- Data Analysis Proficiency: Hands-on experience with Microsoft Excel; Looker studio or other data analysis tools are a plus
- Product or Retention Experience: 2–4 years working in product management, product strategy, customer retention, churn reduction, marketing analytics, or operations roles
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Demonstrated ability to work effectively with sales, operations, leadership, and technical teams to align on priorities and drive outcomes
- Operational Mindset: Comfort translating business strategy into practical, executable plans and managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
- Communication Skills: Ability to synthesize complex data and insights into clear, structured recommendations for both technical and non-technical audiences
Nice-to-Haves:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field
- Experience with competitive intelligence or market analysis
- Exposure to pricing models, promotional offers, or rate plan management
- Familiarity with product management frameworks or methodologies
