Join our team and what we'll accomplish together

Are you ready to build the data foundation that will redefine customer experiences for millions? At TELUS, we're not just a telecom company; we're a global technology leader on a mission to create a friendlier future. As part of the Customer Digital Solutions team, you'll be at the epicenter of our digital evolution, empowering teams to build intelligent, customer-first solutions that set new industry standards.

Our passionate collective brings together the brightest minds in technology—from visionary strategists and creative UX designers to innovative developers and technical program managers. We collaborate to push boundaries, drive digital transformation, and create meaningful outcomes.

As the Product Owner for the UI Data Layer, you will be the driving force behind our digital intelligence. You will own the vision, strategy, and execution of TELUS’s most critical data asset: the standardized, real-time clickstream that fuels our analytics, personalization, and machine learning capabilities.

This is a high-visibility, technical product ownership role where you will lead the charge in delivering a consolidated, server-side data layer across all our digital properties, including telus.com and the My TELUS app. Your work will form the central nervous system for data, feeding our Adobe Experience Platform (AEP) and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to unlock personalization at scale. Your leadership will be critical in enabling dozens of teams across the organization to leverage clean, consistent data to drive unprecedented business value.

What you will do:

  • Lead a High-Performing Agile Squad: Guide, inspire, and unblock a dedicated, cross-functional team of developers, analysts, and implementation specialists. You will own and ruthlessly prioritize the team's backlog, translating complex business needs into actionable user stories to deliver a best-in-class, scalable data layer.
  • Deliver the Next-Generation UI Data Layer: Own the end-to-end product lifecycle, from strategic planning through the successful migration of all digital properties to the new global standard. You will navigate a complex roadmap, manage cross-team dependencies, and orchestrate the seamless turndown of legacy client-side systems.
  • Forge Enterprise-Wide Collaboration: Act as the central point of contact and chief evangelist for the data layer. You will build powerful relationships with dozens of Product, Application, and Business owners across the enterprise to align on priorities, manage dependencies, and ensure their successful adoption of the new platform.
  • Drive Business Value Through Data Adoption: Go beyond delivery to become a strategic partner who actively drives the usage of the unified data layer. You will empower stakeholders to unlock new capabilities in Adobe Analytics, Customer Journey Analytics, and GCP, enabling them to achieve critical business outcomes, from hyper-personalization to advanced performance measurement.
  • Govern and Evolve the Platform: Establish and lead a robust intake, triage, and prioritization process for all incoming data layer requests, enhancements, and bug fixes. You will make critical trade-off decisions to protect the integrity of the data layer while ensuring it evolves to meet future business demands.

What you bring

  • Proven Product Leadership: A strong track record (2-3 years) in product ownership, with demonstrated success in launching and scaling complex, technical, platform-level digital products in a large enterprise setting.
  • Deep Technical Acumen: Expert-level understanding of digital data layers, event-driven architecture, server-side tagging, and digital analytics.
    • Hands-on experience with the Adobe Experience Platform (AEP) suite is essential, particularly Adobe Analytics,           Adobe Launch, and Experience Data Model (XDM).
    • Strong familiarity with Adobe Journey Optimizer (AJO) and Customer Journey Analytics (CJA) is a significant asset.
    • Experience with cloud data platforms like Google Cloud Platform (GCP) is highly desirable.
  • Master of Stakeholder Influence: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with a proven ability to build consensus, navigate competing priorities, and influence stakeholders and technical teams from the individual contributor to the executive level.
  • Agile Expertise: You live and breathe Agile principles and have extensive experience leading Scrum teams in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, delivering iterative value.
  • Strategic & Analytical Mindset: You can effortlessly switch between high-level strategy and granular detail. You excel at analyzing complex technical problems, architecting a data-driven vision, and building a compelling roadmap that delivers measurable business impact.
