Here’s the impact you’ll make and what we’ll accomplish together
You will be joining the Collaborative Health API team, acting as an essential bridge between product management and engineering, and owning delivery of the API ecosystem that is essential to our product strategy. As a Product Owner you’ll facilitate discovery sessions with internal & external stakeholders to drive alignment and progress of the work for our product engineering teams. This API ecosystem enables development velocity and efficiency for internal teams, and empowers data services for technology-forward clients via the CHR Enterprise API
What you'll do
- Collaborate with our Agile/Scrum teams to actively manage and ensure appropriate prioritization of the backlog, attend agile ceremonies as a key stakeholder, and drive the product forward
- Work closely with developers to ensure that we’re building the right products that help our customers fulfill their business needs
- Own and groom stories in the backlog, establish acceptance criteria, drive prioritization in the backlog, and obtain customer validation that the product meets customer and program priorities while maintaining technical integrity
- Organizing and facilitating requirements-elicitation sessions with internal stakeholders
- Working closely with Quality Assurance to ensure that the products are working to specification
- Be an advocate for software support escalations and investigations as required
- Creating User Stories according to the requirements, while making sure that they meet the acceptance criteria and are actionable by Development Leads
- Develop and improve high quality documentation to enable optimal user experience and support
- Provide industry perspective and product experience for qualifying the recommendations.
- Leverage internal team discussions to enhance best practices, technical & functional knowledge and ensure that the same are shared across teams
What you bring
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field
- In-depth knowledge of Agile process and principles
- 5 or more years experience in a business analysis or product owner role
- 3 or more years working in an agile/scrum team
- A natural curiosity for problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Strong relationship building, negotiation and leadership skills; ability to persuade and lead a squad of diverse stakeholders
- A passion for innovative solutions and trying new things to solve old problems
- Advanced technical and documentation skills, including strong working knowledge of Google Workspace Apps.
- Experience creating clear and concise reports and giving presentations
- Demonstrated ability to deliver to deadlines, multi-task, and to re-prioritize when needed
Nice-to-haves
- Prior experience in the healthcare technology industry
- Hands-on experience with developing and testing APIs
- Avid user of Slack emojis and gifs
- An insatiable appetite for modern and emerging technologies and tools
- Business Analysis and/or Product Management certification/education an asset
- Bilingualism (English and French)
