We partner with leading providers to ensure that we are bringing in the right external talent, at the right cost, to drive our future state strategy. We’re the trusted business partner accountable for making informed decisions on identification, acquisition and ongoing support for our external workforce talent based on strategic priorities, risks, and operational expenditures. We continuously strive to make the day to day experience simple, easy and efficient, whilst layering in technology advancements such as artificial intelligence and robotic process automation where possible.


Here’s the impact you’ll make and what we’ll accomplish together


You’ll support the design and execution of our external/contingent workforce strategy and service delivery team within the Chief Procurement office. This includes supporting the external and internal team members, and driving process improvements around large amounts of spend per annum. The opportunity to not only apply and hone your expertise, but also to drive new best practices is all yours. You’ll provide strategic insight and recommendations to your leader, as well as ensuring high quality and consistent delivery of service levels and compliance drivers. Your collaborative approach, project management expertise, and ability to create best practices will drive a best-in-class contingent labour program.

Here's how

 

  • Lead day-to-day operations and performance management of the external MSP along with VMS technology
  • Ensure effective program reporting and compliance management, and drive successful achievement of all SLA’s
  • Partner with the MSP and VMS teams on technology enhancements for the program
  • Drive continuous improvement by developing initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, compliance, and value generation including being the point of escalation for operational delivery issues
  • Champion change management activities and partner with business leaders in driving adoption ensuring program success
  • Being a part of a team providing exceptional support to stakeholders across the organization
  • Driving best in class external workforce strategies that support TELUS’ profitable growth and an unsurpassed client experience
  • Influencing key strategic decisions through clear storytelling, impactful thought leadership and a consultative approach
  • Applying expert skills in data analytics, market research, influencing and program management
  • Leading high visibility cross functional projects, technology enhancement projects, risk and relationship management, and savings initiatives
  • Optimizing our delivery model to maximize impact for TELUS

Qualifications

 

You're the missing piece of the puzzle

 

  • Subject Matter expertise in Contingent Workforce and/or External labour
  • Experience using Fieldglass, Procurement technology and/or SAP at an advanced level
  • Applauded for your “can-do” attitude and belief in the art of the possible
  • Recognized for driving change and innovation
  • Regarded as an exceptional communicator, influencer and negotiator, able to build and maintain effective partnerships internally and externally with all stakeholders, including senior leaders
  • Noted as having strong business and financial acumen
  • Sought out for your ability to seek out, analyze and translate facts, data and intelligence into key insights, concept and recommendations
  • With a reputation for project execution excellence and achieving results in a complex environment
  • With a Bachelor degree in any domain

 

Great-to-haves

 

  • Experience in strategic sourcing for any spend category
  • Experience using Fieldglass, Procurement technology and/or SAP at an advanced level
  • Familiarity with regulatory standards for contingent workforce
  • MBA or a professional certification(s) from SCMA or CIPS or ISM or CCWP (Certified Contingent Worker Professional)
