The TELUS Program Management Team is growing and seeking a Project Manager (Systems Configuration) to lead our technology strategy and daily operations of our key digital platform. This exciting opportunity will leverage your technical expertise to enhance the stakeholder experience, ensure adherence to compliance and allow for access to data to drive business decisions. 

Our talented Program Management Team is responsible for supporting critical processes to enable TELUS operations. The team is continuously looking for innovative solutions to improve performance and make a significant tangible impact for our stakeholders and customers.

We are on a transformational journey within our program management function. In your Project Manager (Systems Configuration) – External Labour role, you will be responsible for ensuring a consistent stakeholder experience through our tool, monitoring tool performance, and identifying opportunities for process optimization. 

You will use market intelligence and program trends to develop and deploy world-class approaches to program support, while ensuring daily operational objectives are reached with oversight of the configuration team and collaborate with our Sr. Program Manager.

What you’ll do
 

  • Develop, prioritize and manage all day-to-day technology activities, together with program leadership, TELUS Technology Team and application providers
  • Identify areas for scale, potential synergies; long-term growth opportunities
  • Build out TELUS Program Management Office technology plan to fully realize a seamless user experience 
  • Establish Scorecard and executive reporting to track progress across integration milestones
  • Strategy development and execution of large scale projects in consultation with stakeholders 
  • Managing stakeholders’ communication
  • Managing risks and issues and taking corrective measurements
  • Apply expertise, insights and creativity to identify new growth opportunities and/or operational efficiencies
  • Fostering and supporting a high-energy, results-oriented, inclusive work environment that encourages a culture that inspires everyone to give their best to our customers, to our community, to TELUS and ultimately to our shareholders
  • Performs other functions as assigned which do not affect the value of the job

 

 

Qualifications

 

What you bring
 

  • Technical knowledge of computer languages, database design and access, and working knowledge of multi-tiered architecture (e.g., web applications, SaaS)
  • Ability to maintain perspective and confidence in face of difficult stakeholder expectations, system failures, and tight deadlines  
  • Experience and success in leading transformative programs to achieve breakthrough business results
  • A 'can-do' attitude and innate belief in the art of the possible
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills; and confidence in influencing senior leaders and executives
  • Ability to maintain perspective and confidence in face of difficult stakeholder expectations, system failures, and tight deadlines  
  • Proven track record of technical service delivery in complex and fast-paced environment
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with tactical action to drive results; able to move seamlessly from strategy to tactics and from working with senior leaders to program team member
  • Strong business mindset and technology acumen
  • Passion for using facts and data, translating process and intelligence into effective business decisions in the best interests of the organization
  • Excellent time management, organizational effectiveness and attention to detail
  • Minimum 7-10 years of experience in technical enhancement roles involving business process engineering, systems development and implementation, and change management 
  • Proficiency with SAP-Fieldglass configuration
  • Team oriented and able to work with minimal supervision
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or an equivalent education


Great-to-haves

 

  • Expertise with SAP-Fieldglass and/or program management applications
  • Experience working with SAP S4/Hana
  • Curiosity and experience with AI and RPA
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Office, including Powerpoint and Excel or gsuite equivalent
  • A passion for growth and desire to collaborate with problem solvers
  • Experience in the Telecommunications industry
  • Bilingual English-French is an asset

 

 

Salary Range:  $94,000-$140,000
Performance Bonus or Sales Incentive Plan:  15%

Actual total compensation will be determined based on factors such as knowledge, skills, performance and experience. In addition, TELUS offers rewarding benefits, which may vary per job function, such as:
