Description

Join our team and what we’ll accomplish together

The TELUS SAP & Enterprise Shared Services team is embarking on an exciting transformation journey, leveraging strategic relationships with both SAP and Google to modernize existing infrastructure, and ways of working to accelerate value, quality, and velocity for our TELUS business stakeholder teams. With a genuine cloud-first, agile, and digital mindset, the TELUS team is embarking on a journey to modernize its SAP landscape, team, and service delivery approach with migration to SAP (RISE) S/4 HANA.

In this role, you will join a dynamic and highly skilled technology team of functional analysts and developers who are committed to delivering working solutions that enable best-in-class business and systems capabilities, guided by our customers’ needs and strategic priorities.

What you’ll do

As a key member of the DevOps team, you will play a critical role in driving the team’s success by ensuring architectural quality across the full development lifecycle — from requirements and design to implementation and operations. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the design and implementation of enterprise applications, components, interfaces, and APIs that align with business requirements, enterprise architecture standards, and best practices for performance, resiliency by design, and security by design
  • Architecting systems and solutions by driving requirements elicitation, effort estimation, vendor evaluations, solution blueprinting, delivery oversight, and risk assessments
  • Developing core system components and APIs, contributing hands-on to key aspects of the solution
  • Defining release plans and sprint schedules in alignment with the overarching program vision, in collaboration with Program Solution Architects
  • Providing strategic technology and process recommendations to support scalable, sustainable system architecture while removing technology-related barriers
  • Collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders, including business and technology teams, to shape solution blueprints and support effort assessments
  • Mentoring and supporting team members, sharing your expertise to build team capability and ensure alignment with DevOps principles and architectural goals

Qualifications

What you bring

  • 7+ years of experience in SAP business processes within Supply Chain Management, including Warehousing and Logistics (SAP EWM and integrations to 3PL solutions), Order-to-Cash, and Procure-to-Pay areas, with a strong understanding of SAP leading practices
  • 7+ years of hands-on experience in functional configuration and ABAP development / debugging across key SAP modules, including Sales and Distribution (SD), Materials Management (MM), Extended Warehouse Management (EWM), Production Planning (PP), and Plant Maintenance (PM)
  • Experience in SAP ECC 6.0 to SAP S/4HANA migration and upgrade projects, with involvement in end-to-end transformation initiatives
  • Valued for your trusted advisor with the ability to provide strategic guidance, coaching, and subject matter expertise to both technical and business stakeholders
  • Strong stakeholder management capabilities, with the ability to build relationships and influence across various levels of the organization
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills, with a track record of effectively conveying complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Technology, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience

Great-to-haves

  • SAP certifications in relevant modules such as SAP SD, MM, and EWM
  • Experience with 3PL integrations to SAP and freight management solutions such as XPS
  • Familiarity with advanced SAP platforms and tools, including SAP BTP, IBP, and APO
  • Experience using architecture modeling languages such as ArchiMate
  • Proficiency in using Agile project and task management tools
  • Ability to understand network and security architectural considerations, while effectively collaborating with respective architects to ensure end-to-end solution integrity
  • Experience with observability and monitoring tools, such as Dynatrace
  • Familiarity with modern development tools, such as Git/GitHub and Python
  • Experience with event-driven architectures and messaging systems such as Kafka and Google Pub/Sub
  • Understanding of API design and integration
  • Knowledge of TMF standards
