What You'll Do: Security Sales Specialist Role


As a Physical Security Subject Matter Expert (SME) and Security Sales Specialist, you'll be the trusted advisor helping businesses solve their most critical security challenges. You'll partner with prospective and current customers to identify opportunities, design tailored security solutions, and drive sales growth across CCTV systems, intrusion detection, video surveillance platforms, and integrated security ecosystems.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Physical Security Solutions Architecture: Leverage your expertise in CCTV, intrusion detection systems, video surveillance, access control, and fire panel monitoring to identify and drive opportunities, using need-creation techniques to expand TELUS' security footprint

  • Enterprise Security Consulting: Consult with customers to understand their physical security challenges and translate requirements into comprehensive solutions including:

    • CCTV and video surveillance systems

    • Intrusion detection and alarm monitoring

    • Access management and control systems

    • Fire panel integration and monitoring

    • Integrated security management platforms

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with account teams, solution architects, product managers, and service delivery teams to create value propositions aligned with enterprise security needs

  • Industry Leadership: Stay current with physical security trends, vendor partnerships, and best practices; position yourself as a trusted security advisor

  • Strategic Account Growth: Execute targeted account plans, identify expansion opportunities in video surveillance and security systems, and deliver measurable ROI for customers

What You’ll Need:

 

  • A university degree in Business, Computer Science, Social Science, Engineering or relevant industry experience
  • Relevant experience working with physical security OEMs/ vendors
  • 5+ years of experience in sales, pre-sales, or tech sales
  • A proven track record of solution selling and aligning offerings to business needs at the executive and senior technical levels
  • Experience working with Mid-Market, Enterprise and Public Sector prospective accounts

Salary Range:  $85,000-$135,000
Performance Bonus or Sales Incentive Plan:  $30,000-85,000

Actual total compensation will be determined based on factors such as knowledge, skills, performance and experience. We encourage all qualified candidates to apply, even if the posted salary range doesn't match your expectations. We're open to discussing competitive compensation packages tailored to your experience level and expertise.
