Description
This role is for a seasoned sales professional to lead the go-to-market strategy for our innovative nature-based carbon solutions and tree-planting project development. We are looking for a strategic thinker with a proven track record of developing and executing successful sales plans in the environmental sector.
What you’ll do:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to establish and grow our market presence
- Drive the entire sales cycle, from initial prospecting and lead generation to contract negotiation and closing high-value deals
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key enterprise and mid-market clients, acting as a trusted advisor and brand ambassador
- Identify and capitalize on up-selling and cross-selling opportunities, aligning our solutions with evolving customer needs
- Provide strategic insights and customer intelligence to inform product development and marketing efforts
- Effectively communicate our product strategy and value proposition to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Stay at the forefront of industry trends and maintain a deep understanding of environmental solutions
Qualifications
What you bring:
- A minimum of 7 years of senior-level sales or business development experience in the environmental industry
- Demonstrated success in developing and executing strategic sales plans that have resulted in significant revenue growth
- A self-starter with a high degree of initiative and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment
- Exceptional emotional intelligence and proven ability to collaborate effectively in a cross-functional team
- Outstanding organizational, planning, and time management skills
Great to haves:
- Deep knowledge or experience in environmental technology and sustainability
- Experience working closely with product development teams
- A passion for supporting Indigenous Peoples in Canada and Reconciliation
- Experience navigating large, complex technology organizations
Salary Range:
$89,000-$133,000
Performance Bonus or Sales Incentive Plan:
$60,000-110,000
