Description

 

This role is for a seasoned sales professional to lead the go-to-market strategy for our innovative nature-based carbon solutions and tree-planting project development. We are looking for a strategic thinker with a proven track record of developing and executing successful sales plans in the environmental sector.

 

What you’ll do:

 

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to establish and grow our market presence
  • Drive the entire sales cycle, from initial prospecting and lead generation to contract negotiation and closing high-value deals
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key enterprise and mid-market clients, acting as a trusted advisor and brand ambassador
  • Identify and capitalize on up-selling and cross-selling opportunities, aligning our solutions with evolving customer needs
  • Provide strategic insights and customer intelligence to inform product development and marketing efforts
  • Effectively communicate our product strategy and value proposition to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Stay at the forefront of industry trends and maintain a deep understanding of environmental solutions

 

 

Qualifications

 

What you bring:

 

  • A minimum of 7 years of senior-level sales or business development experience in the environmental industry
  • Demonstrated success in developing and executing strategic sales plans that have resulted in significant revenue growth
  • A self-starter with a high degree of initiative and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment
  • Exceptional emotional intelligence and proven ability to collaborate effectively in a cross-functional team
  • Outstanding organizational, planning, and time management skills

 

Great to haves:

 

  • Deep knowledge or experience in environmental technology and sustainability
  • Experience working closely with product development teams
  • A passion for supporting Indigenous Peoples in Canada and Reconciliation
  • Experience navigating large, complex technology organizations

 

 

Salary Range:  $89,000-$133,000
Performance Bonus or Sales Incentive Plan:  $60,000-110,000

Actual total compensation will be determined based on factors such as knowledge, skills, performance and experience. In addition, TELUS offers rewarding benefits, which may vary per job function, such as:
