This is a challenging, consultative sales role, with equal parts of autonomy and collaboration. Emerging Solutions Sales Professionals at TELUS drive customer relationships and account strategies supporting an account team. We are looking for a student of emerging technologies who has a passion for Connected Worker, HealthIoT, and Smart City applications and how they are changing the way businesses operate.  You will build trust with your customers by being the Subject Matter Expert in our ESG and EHSQ solution set.

  • A compelling persuasive communicator, persuasive storyteller and an abstract thinker: strategic, critical and creative, who is capable of listening and interpreting stakeholder feedback to understand business processes and identify business issues/objectives
  • Identify, qualify, advance and win new opportunities 
  • Meet and exceed revenue sales objectives and grow monthly recurring revenues
  • Manage a range of opportunities, the associated reporting and account planning to support the achievement of sales objectives
  • Maintain high levels of knowledge and expertise regarding our Emerging IoT Industry Solutions and their impact on helping our customers increase safety, sustainability, productivity and compliance
  • Engage and work closely with extended team members including account Sales Executives and the broader account team: other Sales Specialists, Product Managers, Operations Managers, Service Managers, and Partners, in order to deliver the required value for our clients
  • Prepare proposals, presentations, quotations, contracts, and supporting documentation
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements
     

Qualifications


You are the missing piece of the puzzle
 

You are likely in a similar role, today, with 5+  years of experience in a face-to-face sales environment, applying formal sales methodologies.
You have experience helping customers solve complex challenges through innovative and emerging SaaS based technologies that focus around how organizations use data to make informed business decisions.  
You are an experienced forecaster, linking account plans to both customer and TELUS strategic drivers.

You have demonstrated ability or experience with most of the items below:
 

  • Business and technical acumen - demonstrated ability to identify and articulate financially sound TELUS solutions to customer's business problems through understanding the technologies, products, services and resources
  • Proven ability to create corporate relationships between TELUS and our customers that are characterized by mutual trust and respect for the TELUS value proposition
  • Knowledge or previous experience in Environmental, Social, Governance (ESG) or Health, Safety & Environment (HS&E)
  • Experience working with customers in Public Sector, Construction, Healthcare, Manufacturing, Oil & Gas,  Transportation, Utilities, or other high risk industries is highly valued  
  • Knowledge of regulations that govern how businesses manage their Safety and Sustainability goals
  • Experience selling SaaS, IoT platform, or data monetization solutions to Finance, Health & Safety, Operations, and Sustainability C-Suite
  • Solution selling methodology knowledge
  • Experience with, or an affinity for, volunteerism and community involvement
  • Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite products and customer relationship management tools (Salesforce)
  • Comfortable using social media to build networks
  • Connected and active within your community and local business associations 
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and be willing to travel as required
