The Data Analytics Platform team is responsible for delivering Customer and team member experience impact through Data and Data Analytics insights and for driving commercial outcomes through advanced analytics and predictive models used in personalization and humanization of customer digital journeys.

Here’s the impact you’ll make and what we’ll accomplish together


As a Senior Business Analyst, you will work alongside our team, Stakeholders within and outside of Digital, as well as vendors to enable our strategic initiatives. We are looking for a self-starter to join our high-performing, dynamic and collaborative team. In this role, you are the go to prime for budget management, resource management and Vendor management for our team, as well as primeship on team and community engagement activities. You will look for inefficiencies in our financial processes, recommend and implement improved processes that drive better reporting and/or savings for our budget.

 
This position offers the opportunity to grow and develop through various projects and initiatives, working with internal and external business partners to drive our strategic direction.

  • Provide a single view of our team’s monthly operating and capital cost results received through various programs, vendors and other sources
  • Drive activities including reporting, analysis and financial input to projects and business cases
  • Develop a strong understanding of business processes and operations to effectively present business and financial information to senior management
  • Recognize process improvement opportunities, provide recommendations and operationalize new processes that will drive better customer or team member experience
  • Support Vendor Management engagement and successfully liaise with various vendors on driving results on deliverables and commitments
  • Develop an effective network of business relationships across digital and our stakeholders
  • Champion team and community engagement activities to drive better, stronger and more connected outcomes across Data Analytics community

Qualifications

  • Highly-organized with a demonstrated ability to manage a high-volume of work
  • Ability to anticipate and manage unplanned work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong leadership and organizational transformation skills
  • Highly motivated, self-sufficient with the ability to effectively manage a diverse workload. 
  • Advanced knowledge of Google Suite
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong working relationships in a cross-functional team environment
  • Track record of building and developing relationships, with strong ability to influence others at all levels in the organization
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities, projects and activities on tight deadlines
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to translate business and commercial concepts into operational insights and recommendations
  • Strong attention to detail with a strategic mindset
  • Self-starter with a proven ability to highlight inefficiencies and make improvements to processes


Great-to-haves
 

  • 3-5 years of equivalent experience
  • Familiarity with the structure of TELUS products and services, organizational delivery capabilities, and TELUS end-to-end processes
  • Proven knowledge and understanding of digital industry 
  • Post-secondary degree in business, computer science, or information technology
