Reporting to the Director – Products & Services, the role of Business Analyst II, will support execution of our digital strategies, in a collaborative, fast paced team environment where we manage multiple projects and client requirements on an ongoing basis. The successful candidate must be a strong creative and analytical thinker with strong documentation and planning skills.

 

You will be a key member of the Products & Services Team and will play a vital role in driving outcomes in our eClaims and digital product solutions. Sounds interesting? Read on, it only gets better!!

In this role, as a key member of our TELUS Health Payor Solutions team, you will be at the forefront of providing excellent customer service as it relates to client requested changes, implementation activities, and the product evolution of our health benefit management solutions.

Responsibilities

 

  • Design and implement simple solutions and process improvements to solve complex business problems
  • Develop new tools and processes, and plan and facilitate discussions, meetings, working sessions by demonstrating subject matter expertise
  • Starting with only a vague outline of a customer’s business problem, drive in depth analysis and requirements elaboration with clients and internal stakeholders
  • Work in agile design and development process to build agile user stories with detailed acceptance criteria
  • Actively participate in project team meetings and lead when necessary
  • Participate and frequently lead customer meetings and elaboration sessions with a view to solving customer pain points
  • Develop and produce documentation material to support client initiatives/implementations
  • Successfully liaise within team and interfaces with customers, impacted business units, external partners and/or vendors (where appropriate) on cross-functional initiatives to meet deliverables and influence decision making to maximize operational efficiencies with minimal downstream implications
  • Define, recommend and build opportunities for operational or efficiency improvements to enhance current processes
  • Mentor, coach, and develop team members to achieve higher levels of performance and job mastery

Required Knowledge

 

  • Knowledge of claim adjudication principals, Pharmacy Benefit Management, or Group/Employee Benefits Management is an asset
  • Proven ability to collect requirements and document business processes and client requirements
  • Ability to structure agile epics including planning and writing complex user stories with detailed acceptance criteria
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
  • Experience analysing and reporting on performance and utilization data

Agile methodology experience

 

  • Highly proficient with JIRA, Google Suite, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio
  • Bilingual – English/French is an asset

 

Required Professional Designation/Certification

 

  • University Degree or related College Diploma in Health Science, Computer Science or Business/Commerce
  • PMP designation an asset

 

Required Experience

 

  • 3-5 years in comparable role
  • 1-2 years customer-facing experience
