You will be an integral member of our core Collaborative Health Record (CHR) product team as Senior Business Analyst (Product Owner - Analytics) and will have product ownership of our Looker integration and downstream analytics capabilities and roadmap. You will act as an essential bridge between product management, clients, support, implementations, and engineering teams to ensure our analytics capabilities deliver meaningful insights to thousands of healthcare providers. In this role, you will work closely with stakeholders to identify, design, validate, and enhance our analytics and reporting capabilities while streamlining processes for maximum efficiency.

What you will do

 

  • Own the end-to-end analytics experience within the CHR, ensuring optimal performance and end user experience
  • Collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders to understand their analytics needs and ensure our tools provide significant value
  • Lead and manage a team of developers, prioritizing work effectively and creating detailed user stories that meet our high standards for usability and technical integrity
  • Design and implement efficient processes for creating new reports
  • Monitor and optimize report performance to ensure quick access to critical information
  • Work cross-functionally with other teams to remove blockers and collaborate on new analytics features
  • Successfully contribute to the launch of analytics solutions, by identifying the cost benefit analysis, release planning and implementation support
  • Manage and prioritize the analytics backlog, including bug fixes and feature enhancements
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for analytics features and processes
  • Analytics mentoring/coaching to other team members within and across the Product team
  • Partner with Quality Assurance to ensure analytics features meet specifications
  • Lead analytics-related support escalations and investigations as required
  • Maintain a strong understanding of TELUS applications, products and services, organizational delivery capabilities and TELUS end-to-end processes
  • Additionally, maintains awareness of industry trends and technology available that would, if implemented, result in operational or efficiency improvements to current processes

 

 

Qualifications

 

What you bring

 

  • Bachelor’s or equivalent degree in Business Administration, Communications, Design, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field
  • 5+ years experience in a Product Owner or Business Analyst role
  • 3+ years working in an Agile/scrum team environment
  • A natural curiosity for problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Strong relationship building, negotiation and leadership skills; ability to persuade and lead a squad of diverse stakeholders
  • A passion for innovative solutions and trying new things to solve old problems
  • Experience creating clear and concise reports and giving presentations
  • Demonstrated experience with business intelligence tools, particularly Looker
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, multi-task, and adapt to changing priorities

  • Prior experience in healthcare technology industry
  • An insatiable appetite for modern and emerging technologies and tools
  • Advanced knowledge of Looker development and administration
  • Data visualization expertise
  • Business Analysis and/or Product Management certification
  • Design thinking background and experience
  • Performance optimization experience with large datasets
  • Knowledge of healthcare analytics and reporting requirements

 

 

Salary Range:  $72,000-$108,000
Performance Bonus or Sales Incentive Plan:  12%

Actual total compensation will be determined based on factors such as knowledge, skills, performance, experience and location. Additionally, TELUS offers rewarding benefits, which may vary per job function, such as:
