We are looking for a Senior Business System Analyst to join our Transformation Office. As a member of this spirited, focused and collaborative team the candidate will be a key contributor to the highly strategic multi-year transformational program meant to drive amazing results for our organization and our customers. 

 

This role will be responsible for ensuring the program meets the requirements of the transformation program. As a focal point for business, functional and non-functional requirements the successful candidate will interact with multiple stakeholders to understand today’s challenges and represent the future needs.

 

Given the scope of this program, the successful candidate will operate in a matrix environment collaborating with a variety of stakeholders including members of the TELUS Health business and technology team’s. With strong communication and facilitation skills, the successful candidate will be an enthusiastic individual that is adaptable, earns trust quickly, and is not afraid to push for change or roll up their sleeves to execute on a robust plan.

 

The successful candidate will have previous experience with large programs that have a mix of internal and external stakeholders. A candidate adept at building relationships with key functional players, and capable of influencing without authority.

 

What Will You Do:

 

  • Operate in a matrix environment collaborating with a variety of stakeholders including members of the TELUS Health Leadership Team, the Chief Information Office and leaders and team members from both organizations
  • Ask questions with the ultimate goal of understanding end-to-end processes/systems and the limitations of today’s implementation
  • Capture and translate business requirements into functional and technical requirements
  • Outline deliverables according to the requirements and formulate sequencing and timing
  • Proactively bring expertise and creative solutions to improving processes, team effectiveness, digitization avenues, and productivity

 

How will you make a difference: 

 

 

  • Excellent Business Systems Analysis experience for 7+ years in your most recent role within a major industry such as Telecommunications, Energy, Finance, or Government
  • Efficiency in planning and time management, with the ability to prioritize and multitask in a rapidly changing environment
  • Expert written and verbal communications with a keen eye for quality
  • Ability to manage high volume workloads while maintaining great levels of quality and attention to detail
  • Ability to learn quickly from success or failure, apply sound judgment, and get things done all while navigating through change, ambiguity, and high pressure environments
  • Skills at translating business needs into technical solutions whilst challenging the status quo

 

What you will bring:

 

  • Knowledge of IT Methodologies: Waterfall, Agile
  • Strong experience with Microsoft tools: Excel, Word, Visio, PowerPoint
  • Experience using the Atlassian suite of products: Jira/Confluence
  • Strong data analysis with ability to handle complex business rules
  • Personal organization skills to manage work effort in order to produce quality documentation in a productive and efficient manner
  • Takes ownership and has strong written and verbal communication skills to express concepts that are appropriate to the target audience
  • Collaborate and build effective working relationships with colleagues across technology and the business to achieve business and IT objectives
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities
  • Bilingual is a nice to have
