The People & Culture (P&C) Digital Strategy and Enablement team is passionate about providing our team members with positive experiences, from the minute they say ‘yes’ to the time when they leave. As a Senior Business Systems Analyst you will make a difference in the way TELUS employees work. You will leverage your technical acumen, creative problem-solving, collaborating and interpersonal skills to take on a broad array of challenges and deliver operational and customer service excellence. You will be key to maintaining data integrity, functionality and enhancements within our SAP SuccessFactors, especially the payroll and time modules,

 

What you’ll do

 

  • Act as a SME in SF delivery
    • Be the lead on translating business requests into functional and technical requirements and seeing them through the phases of an agile project to delivery
    • Ensure our SF modules SAP systems (Employee Central, EC Payroll, EC Time & EC Benefits) are properly configured and according to legislation, collective agreement, internal policies and/or best practice
    • Support daily operations, priorities and escalation management, that includes reporting, analyzing and resolving issues
    • Create and execute detailed functional and testing in our development, test and production environments, supporting all changes in your portfolio
    • Lead various projects and system changes
  • Operate as a Trusted Advisor and Ambassador
    • Own your relationship with our customers and be the point of contact for their requests
    • Collaborate with key stakeholders to recommend the best solutions and deliver various programs for our team members, with a slant towards the team member experience
    • Support incident/escalation processes to minimize system outage time and exceed the quality of service
  • Provide critical business insights and thought leadership
    • Build strong relationships across the P&C community and represent P&C Digital Strategy and Enablement team at meetings both internally and externally with vendor partners
    • Act as a HRIS subject matter expert and conduct systems analysis including recommendations that drive strategic solutions
    • Prioritize the customer experience above all else
    • Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and innovation to drive improved team member experiences

 

 

 

What you bring

 

  • Valued for your 5+ years of systems deliveryexperience
  • Working knowledge and/or experience working in an HR environment supporting HR programs, policies and related processes
  • Noted as a solid communicator and collaborator who can build strong relationships
  • Recognized for managing numerous competing priorities and commitments with extremely high attention to detail, in an organized manner
  • Ability to work independently as the senior system analyst and coach or guide team
  • Experience and comfort level acting as a subject matter expert and consultant
  • Comfortable with high volume work and changing environments and priorities
  • Self-motivated individual with a strong work ethic who owns their deliverables
  • Talented at translating complicated and seemingly impossible asks into clear, easy to understand and doable actions to meet your customers’ requirements
  • Expert knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word and PowerPoint), along with Google suite (Drive, Docs, Sheets, Gmail and Chat)
  • University degree or college diploma, with a slant towards Human Resources or Systems; project management slant

 

Great-to-haves

 

  • Experience in SAP On-premise and SuccessFactors
  • SF certification in Employee Central Payroll and/or Time
  • Experience with SAP On-premise and EC SuccessFactors transformations
  • Experience working in a remote team environment
  • Able to support change management efforts including business readiness documentation, drafting communications and FAQ
  • Experience building, assigning and tracking testing scenarios in Jira
  • CHRP or Payroll designation
  • Previous work experience in a Human Resources or Payroll department
  • Bilingual in English and French, both written and oral

 

 

Salary Range:  $92,000-$138,000
Performance Bonus or Sales Incentive Plan:  15%

Actual total compensation will be determined based on factors such as knowledge, skills, performance and experience. In addition, TELUS offers rewarding benefits, which may vary per job function, such as:
