As the Senior Channel Engagement Manager, you will be key to the success of the Cisco Collaboration product portfolio at TELUS.  You will concentrate on enabling TELUS Business Solutions sales channels to successfully sell Cisco and TELUS Collaboration technologies.  A key part of the role is to work with TELUS and Cisco sales to achieve funnel growth, and to exceed total contract growth, renewal, revenue and profitability targets.



What you’ll do in this role:


  • Engage with product managers to enable the sales channel with training and sales tools, driving adoption of TELUS and Cisco partner programs
  • Build relationships with the various Sales teams across Canada to build funnel momentum, and manage the funnel with product management, sales, and deal support
  • Foster the TELUS / Cisco partnership within the Collaboration portfolio
  • Support sales and sales architects with Customer meetings, RFP’s and bids 
  • Communicate to Sales about enhancements to the TELUS/Cisco collaboration portfolio
  • Identify and fulfill needs for product training in the channels. Provide regular feedback to product management on customer activity, competitive intelligence and issues to drive product enhancements and developments. 
  • Engage and participate in account and opportunity reviews, operational reviews and sales planning.
  • Seek to understand the market and competitive landscape of business portfolio. Review findings in discussions and decision making sessions with peers, sales and product marketing. 
  • Work closely with the sales team to identify and understand gaps. Review gap resolutions with product marketing and liaise with sales.
  • Lead channel projects to enhance the customer experience and generate value for the organization.
  • Collaborate to prioritize the elements of the solutions and product development roadmaps to ensure that the needs of the market are appropriately represented.
  • Achieves assigned sales quota in designated partner accounts, meeting assigned expectations for profitability.





What you bring


  • Knowledge of business sales management processes, products and services, including expertise in some or all of the following areas: 
  • Voice, data, mobility, internet and information technology products and services. 
  • Voice over IP knowledge with Avaya and/or Cisco, Mitel, Ring Central, Microsoft, etc.
  • Strong leadership, project management skills, and the ability to lead cross functional teams 
  • Excellent communication and presentation, analytical skills, and ability to develop relationships with key internal and external contacts, fostering trust and confidence
  • Full understanding of area of specialization; able to develop, maintain and optimize end to end value chains associated with TELUS products and services 
  • Knowledge of financial concepts including revenue, costs and profitability 
  • Able to work on highly complex opportunities with multiple priorities. Able to cope with ambiguity
  • Market knowledge and business acumen
  • Negotiation and Conflict Resolution – ability to negotiate challenging situations with stakeholders



Nice to haves:



  • University Degree in either business, economics, marketing, mathematics, computer science, engineering.  Equivalent experience will be considered if degree in another discipline.
  • Minimum 5+ years’ equivalent experience of market, channel, or product management experience in IT, telecommunication services. Strong awareness of technology trends and potential influence of future TELUS services.
  • Previous marketing, channel, product management or financial analysis experience is an asset
