Our team


The Senior Customer Solutions Architect plays a key role in providing TELUS’ Unified Communications solutions to our business customers in the Enterprise and Government sector.  In addition to technical mastery, the ideal candidate must have good sales and business acumen. Working directly with TELUS customers, the candidate will analyze customers’ business and technical requirements to find solutions that meet their operational needs.
We aim for excellence in design to offer integrated solutions comprising of various technologies and partners, and work with a large team of experts from different fields.

Your responsibilities


  • Ensure the integrity of customer solutions and work closely with all levels of IT Operations, Product Marketing, Sales and Project Management to make sure that the proposed solutions are feasible and sustainable.
  • Respond to RFIs, RFQs, RFPs, etc., prepare solution diagrams, technical descriptions, and presentation materials for prospective customers.
  • Translate complex technical information into compelling and easy-to-understand business propositions.
  • Work with the sales and accounts teams to bring out the value of the proposed solutions and how it integrates into the customers’ overall IT environment and strategy.
  • Take responsibility for the architecture, design and customer specifications of TELUS’ Unified Communications based solutions.
  • Remain responsible for the solution until it has been made operational in the transition project, and ensure an efficient transfer of responsibility to the Implementation and Project Management Offices.
  • Stay up-to-date on new developments in the industry by attending fairs and conferences, and engaging in forum discussions. Compare TELUS products and services with those offered by the competition.
  • Maintain a high level of technical knowledge related to your field of expertise.
  • Deliver presentations to TELUS internal audiences as well as customers.


What you bring


  • IT architecture best practices and methodologies
  • Excellent communications and writing skills
  • Good knowledge of Cisco, Microsoft and Avaya’s Unified communications solutions
  • Design and architecture of Unified Communications solutions


Knowledge of the Unified Communications services and solutions:


  • TELUS TC2 solutions based on Cisco technology including UCCX
  • TELUS TMM solutions based on Avaya technology
  • Microsoft Unified Communications solutions (TEAMS)
  • CISCO LAN and WLAN and Meraki portfolio and TELUS MPaaS solutions
  • Aruba WLAN portfolio
  • Imagicle, Calabrio recording solutions
  • RSI call reporting solutions
  • Knowledge of voice, LAN and WLAN protocols
  • Ability to quickly identify the customer’s strategy and main technical and business problems 
  • Proven ability to develop competitive value-added solutions that are creative and innovative 


Professional certification and experience

  • Post-secondary degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent
  • Business administration degree (MBA, Diploma, certificate), an asset 
  • Sales or account planning training, a significant asset
  • At least 10 years of experience in the IT field with a minimum of 5 years in a pre-sales engineering role
  • Sales consultant experience, an asset
