We're seeking an experienced Senior Full Stack Developer with expertise in cloud technologies and AI development to lead technical teams in designing and implementing cutting-edge solutions. This role combines technical leadership with hands-on development, requiring expertise in cloud platforms and artificial intelligence technologies. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise with leadership skills, demonstrating the ability to both architect solutions and guide teams through successful implementation.

What you’ll do

 

  • Design and architect end-to-end AI/ML solutions using GCP cloud platform
  • Lead technical teams in implementing AI/ GenAI automation solutions
  • Accountable for removing roadblocks to delivery
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
  • Provide technical guidance to refine business requirements by deeply understanding customer needs and proposing impactful solutions.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to development teams
  • Develop proof-of-concepts and prototype solutions
  • Create and maintain technical documentation and solution architectures
  • Evaluate new AI/ML technologies and recommend adoption strategies



What you bring

 

  • 10 + years of experience in software architecture and development
  • Proven experience with GCP and/or Azure cloud platforms
  • Strong background in AI/ML solution development and implementation
  • Strong experience in evaluating and utilizing LLMs and up to date with the latest evolutions in the GenAI space
  • Experience leading technical teams and managing complex projects
  • Expertise in modern software development practices and methodologies
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts

 

Technical Skills

 

  • Cloud Platforms: GCP (BigQuery, Looker), Azure
  • AI/ML Technologies: Machine Learning frameworks, GenAI platforms
  • Software Architecture: Microservices, API design, distributed systems
  • Development: Hands-on coding experience in relevant programming languages, React, NodeJS
  • Experience using Data store on cloud, Vector db, embeddings
  • DevOps: CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code

 

Great-to-have

 

  • Cloud certifications (GCP Professional or Azure Solutions Architect)
  • Experience with large-scale AI/ML deployments
  • Background in data engineering and analytics
  • Agile methodology experience
  • Open-source contributions
  • Team management experience is a plus

 

Advanced knowledge of English is required because you will most of the time interact in English with external parties (clients, suppliers, candidates, external partners, etc.); interact in English with internal parties (colleagues, internal partners, stakeholders, etc.); and work with IT tools whose interface is only accessible in English as part of this position's main responsibilities given its international scope.



 

Salary Range:  $104,000-$156,000
Performance Bonus or Sales Incentive Plan:  15%

Actual total compensation will be determined based on factors such as knowledge, skills, performance and experience. In addition, TELUS offers rewarding benefits such as:
