Our team is seeking a dynamic Senior Digital Marketing Manager to lead our brand's digital strategy and performance marketing initiatives. This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on digital expertise to drive growth and innovation across our digital channels.

 

In this exciting position, you'll manage Koodo's digital marketing ecosystem, from developing comprehensive performance marketing strategies to overseeing the execution of sophisticated digital campaigns. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams, agency partners, and key internal and external stakeholders to produce high-quality integrated advertising campaigns, optimize our digital presence and drive measurable business results.

Strategic Leadership & Planning

 

  • Lead comprehensive digital marketing and paid media strategies across Koodo's product portfolio (Mobility, Internet, and Streaming), specializing in lower-funnel campaigns while providing digital consultation for mid and upper-funnel initiatives
  • Oversee budget allocation and media planning to maximize ROI across channels

 

Budget & Resource Management

 

  • Decide on high-level media mix modeling between SEM, display, social, and other channels
  • Manage end-to-end budget allocation and tracking, including media purchase authorizations and financial trackers updates
  • Provide strategic guidance on budget reallocation to address immediate business needs assessing the loading impact of various scenarios

 

Performance Marketing Excellence

 

  • Orchestrate performance marketing campaigns through comprehensive audience targeting strategies while leveraging campaign data and business objectives
  • Drive sophisticated SEM strategy and execution, demonstrating deep platform expertise to optimize campaigns, manage complex account structures, and deliver growth through strategic keyword targeting, ad copy innovation, and performance analytics
  • Collaborate with agency partners to develop and define media targets for key KPIs at each stage of the Performance Digital funnel

 

Campaign Management & Optimization

 

  • Conduct regular audits of live digital campaigns, verifying key elements such as targeting, ad delivery, and landing pages, while promptly identifying and escalating any discrepancies for swift resolution
  • Steer the brand's digital marketing testing roadmap, developing and coordinating A/B experiments, landing page optimization and Beta product trials
  • Align paid and organic search strategies through strategic partnerships with the SEO team, identifying cross-channel synergies to maximize overall search effectiveness

 

Analytics & Reporting

 

  • Drive data-driven decision making through comprehensive performance analytics, translating campaign insights into strategic recommendations for senior leadership via scorecards and quarterly business reviews.
  • Ad tech
  • Lead digital transformation initiatives, including new channel adoption, data source integration, Media Mix Modeling, and attribution frameworks, while adapting strategies for emerging market challenges such as cookieless environments
  • Act as technical liaison between agency and internal technical teams to drive floodlight strategy, coordinating implementation of new pixels, troubleshooting technical issues, and optimizing data collection to enhance performance measurement

 

Cross-functional Partnership

 

  • Build and maintain relationships with key partners (Google, Meta, etc.), agency partners as well as internal and external stakeholders
  • Work closely with pricing, sales, and product teams to align business objectives

 

Qualifications

 

You're a missing piece of the puzzle

 

  • 5+ years of experience in digital marketing, preferably with a mix of client-side and agency experience
  • Undergraduate degree in marketing or a related field
  • Demonstrated expertise in SA360, Adobe Analytics, and GA4, with exposure to CM360, Meta and DV360 considered an asset
  • Excellent grasp of SEM strategy and management, website metrics, e-commerce, and social media
  • Strong numerical aptitude and meticulous attention to detail essential for managing complex campaigns and budgets
  • Superior analytical skills with the ability to organize and extract actionable insights from complex data sets
  • Critical thinking skills and business acumen to drive results
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize work, and deliver on time and on budget
  • Strong interpersonal skills to motivate and coordinate cross-functional teams
  • Action and results-oriented personality
  • Initiative, sense of urgency, and self-direction in a fast-paced environment
  • French language skills are considered an asset

Salary Range:  $86,000-$130,000
Performance Bonus or Sales Incentive Plan:  15%

Actual total compensation will be determined based on factors such as knowledge, skills, performance and experience. In addition, TELUS offers rewarding benefits, which may vary per job function, such as:
