The Wireline Centre of Excellence (COE) Finance team is a dynamic and highly engaged team that values diversity of thought and collaboration. We provide financial leadership for internal customers, including Product, Marketing, Sales and Operational teams, and act as a trusted partner to help them achieve business success.

 

Our areas of focus include: Financial Business Intelligence, Process and Control Improvements, and Profitability Initiatives.

As a Senior Financial Analyst (SFA), you will primarily identify complex business challenges and help achieve operational and strategic goals. This role is distinct from traditional SFA roles as it specializes in data analysis, process improvement, and business partnering. This is an opportunity to be a key enabler in transforming complex financial data into actionable business insights. 

 

What you’ll do

  

  • Evaluate contract to cash data workflows by interpreting transaction patterns, identify root problems and drive solution implementation 
  • Drive operational excellence through automation by establishing low touch workflows to gather datapoints from multiple systems and data silos 
  • Build dashboards and visualizations using Looker, Power BI, or other tools to enable product and executive insights. This includes transforming and connecting complex data into visually appealing and easy-to-understand formats
  • Demonstrates the ability to implement new processes, manage iterative improvements, and lead change management, thereby enhancing productivity and achieving strategic goals

What you bring              

 

  • 7+ years of progressive experience in finance related positions supporting a large business group and senior leaders
  • Bachelor degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration
  • Experience working with GCP Big Query, Looker Suite and Tableau
  • Exceptional project management skills, with a track record of successfully managing cross-functional teams and high-impact projects
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders, translate complex financial concepts into actionable insights, and influence decision-making
  • Excellent knowledge of data management and visualization techniques
  • Demonstrated strong, analytical, data visualization and interpretation skills with the ability to deal with ambiguity and complex issues

Location: anywhere in Canada #LI-Remote

Salary Range:  $90,000-$134,000
Performance Bonus or Sales Incentive Plan:  15%

Actual total compensation will be determined based on factors such as knowledge, skills, performance and experience. In addition, TELUS offers rewarding benefits, which may vary per job function, such as:
