The TELUS Industry Solutions team is building an Ecosystem of business-focused technologies in the areas of IoT, Intelligent Mobility, Connected Worker, Smart Cities / Buildings, Agriculture, Health, Cybersecurity, and more. The first foundational platform will be an enterprise marketplace that will allow business customers to learn about these products, purchase them and configure, all in a self-serve portal. Additional applications will include data aggregation and visualization for combining multiple point solutions, as well as an API platform for share data analytics and insights. This portfolio of applications is expected to grow for many years. The ecosystem will support the entire customer life-cycle, through the LBGUPS model (Learn, Buy, Get, Use, Pay, Support).

As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will be the main point of contact and trusted partner to help achieve B2B profitable growth as part of the 10-year strategic partnership between TELUS and Google. Leveraging your highly strategic mindset and business acumen, you will provide actionable insights and recommendations that influence key decisions by senior leadership and business partners to improve financial performance.
Here’s how
- Lead business case development and driver-based forecasting of marketplace platform
- Provide financial consulting to build ecosystem sharing models between TELUS, partners, sellers, and buyers
- Generate ideas for types of model to share revenue, margin, costs, and risks with software vendors and service providers to incentivize them to sell on TELUS marketplace platform
- Influence data-driven decision-making to internal customers, such as Product, Sales, Marketing, and Operations
- Drive strategic discussions that maximize growth potential through robust scenario analysis
- Collaborate with business partners for successful product launches and system integration
- Prepare and lead presentations to cross-functional teams and senior leaders
Qualification
You're the missing piece of the puzzle
- 3-5 years of required experience in marketplace platform revenue share models
- Experience with B2B ecosystem business cases and nuances, such as commission, lead generation, listing fees, advertising, freemium, subscription or membership fee
- Proven track record in marketplace levers, metrics, risk factors, ramp and scaling
- Strong business insights and willingness to tackle ambiguous with project management skills
- Exceptional communication skills, including a high degree of comfort presenting to an executive audience
- Curiosity and courage to ask the right questions for both high-level strategy and deep dives
- Proficiency with Google Sheets/Slides or Excel/PowerPoint, and ERP systems such as SAP
