READY TO TAKE YOUR FINANCIAL EXPERTISE TO THE NEXT LEVEL?

Join Our Team

We are looking for a high-performing and engaged Senior Financial Analyst to join an exciting growth area of the business on the Corporate Finance Business Intelligence (CFBI) Team! Our team, PAI & Finance Transformational Projects, is dedicated to supporting our evolving business models (through organic growth or acquisition) by collaboratively creating innovative solutions to enhance the agility and scalability of our systems and finance functions. Alongside the CAF PMO team, and with the expertise of the Revenue Reporting Center of Excellence and FBI, our team drives the execution and delivery of Controller team Finance requirements.

Here's The Impact You'll Make and What We'll Accomplish Together

As a trusted business partner, you will be part of a team dedicated to empowering the Finance team for success. Your role will involve taking a thorough and investigative approach to modernizing Finance functions. The core role includes working on various Finance Transformational and Strategic projects from start to finish. Our team has the exciting opportunity to venture into uncharted territory and be involved in high-growth areas of the business and projects that will take this Finance team into the future. We are looking for professionals with strong problem-solving skills (diagnostic and solution development, a breadth of knowledge with respect to the operational aspects of financial reporting, and strong facilitation skills). If you are a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment, loves to solve complex problems, has a sense of urgency, and excels at building relationships, this is the role for you!

What Will Your Typical Day Look Like?

As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will be part of a team of like-minded individuals where you will work to contribute to delivery of successful projects. You will:

  • Assist in the delivery of projects to improve finance functions in one or more of the following financial management functional areas: financial close and consolidation, management and financial reporting, software assessment and implementation, UAT functions, writing business requirements, and shared services finance transformation
  • Review and contribute to the planning and execution of projects in the general finance space
  • Use your accounting background and strong understanding of revenue recognition policy to identify issues, interpret and apply accounting policies, and influence non-finance teams on the financial implications of business decisions
  • Provide leadership in solving problems and develop effective processes and governance
  • Participate and/or lead current state findings workshops in order to understand and document key financial processes (i.e. procure to pay, financial close, reporting, order to cash etc.)
  • Leverage cross-functional relationships to derive optimal resourcing and system solutions to support the desired future state
  • Develop materials for, and participate in the delivery of, presentations to key stakeholders
  • Assist with any other ad-hoc business development activities and be a trusted advisor
  • Alignment of best practices across the acquisitions and driving change to integrate acquisitions into the TELUS ecosystems
  • Assessment of synergies across the portfolio to drive cost savings from a systems and resource perspective

  • Respected for your result-driven mindset and ability to take initiative and ownership of issues and tasks through to resolution
  • “Entrepreneurial” mentality, willingness to “roll up your sleeves” and step outside your sandbox when required, coupled with a positive attitude with a strong bias for action and adapting to ambiguous situations
