What you will do 

 

As Senior Manager, App Growth & Engagement, you will lead a team to scale customer adoption of /and engagement with the My TELUS app. Reporting to the Director, Customer Growth & Retention, you will be focused on significantly growing app installs and ongoing usage across the existing customer base. You will develop and launch innovative, market-leading digital campaigns and experiences to ensure that customers choose - and continue to choose - the My TELUS app. You will obsess about how customers experience and interact with their TELUS services, enhancing digital journeys that lead to app adoption and continuous engagement in its design.

 

The ideal candidate is an experienced app growth leader with a track record of accelerating customer acquisition and engagement, continuously testing and learning, and driving meaningful business results. A highly creative and data-driven app leader with a growth mindset and background in both marketing and product will thrive in this role.
 

Here’s how

 

  • Set the strategic vision and advance the implementation of digital adoption strategies leading to My TELUS app installation and usage
  • Own the success metrics and key performance indicators that support our app acquisition and engagement strategy
  • Continuously uncover opportunities to test and optimize the customer growth funnel and engagement model across digital channels
  • Design, implement, and experiment with web experiences that lead to app adoption and engagement
  • Increase organic growth by testing, learning, and iterating on an ASO strategy that maximizes app install rate and reflects go-to-market campaigns
  • Innovate and personalize the app experience for target segments via in-app banners, push notifications, and creative strategies
  • Define marketing and communication strategies leading to app adoption and meaningful engagement
  • Measure and analyze campaign performance to continuously improve adoption and engagement initiatives
  • Build and support a highly engaged and performing team; act as a mentor and coach for your team to help build a strong and enduring culture at TELUS
  • Collaborate with stakeholders in marketing and product to help deliver end-to-end customer experiences, coordinate roadmaps, support campaigns, features and capabilities in app adoption and engagement strategies

  • Known for championing the customer by continuously innovating and driving more optimal digital experiences 
  • Strong data skills interpreting insights, modeling the funnel and attributing success
  • Highly organized and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Results-oriented mindset with track record of scaling new acquisition and revenue channels
  • Deep channel experience directly managing app store content on Google and Apple stores
  • Skilled in working across different digital disciplines in an open environment to solve complex problems
  • Thrives in a dynamic, entrepreneurial, experimental and adaptable culture 
  • Proven leader who inspires high performance and team engagement; strong coaching, motivating, goal setting, performance and human resource management skills
  • Ability to influence a broad spectrum of stakeholders to gain alignment on marketing and product vision and roadmap 
  • Effective communicator and storyteller with the ability to clearly translate complex problems and concepts to a variety of audiences, including senior leaders 
  • Noted as an exceptional problem solver; anticipating and assess risks, craft contingency plans and manage change in a complex environment
  • Ability to work effectively with various levels of management and cross-functional stakeholder teams

 

Great-to-haves

 

  • 5+ years of growth marketing, performance marketing, and/or Ecommerce leadership experience, specifically for app products
  • Extensive background in web and app customer acquisition, journey development, engagement and retention strategies
  • Experience with mobile analytics platforms
  • Experience with ASO strategy development
  • Progressive management experience in a corporate environment
