Our team and what we’ll accomplish together


 
As a Senior Market Manager at Koodo, you will be responsible for (i) integrating data science models across all team activities while innovating on new ones, (ii) creating personalized use cases for customers on our Koodo website, (iii) and leading other strategic projects. While primarily sitting in the Churn & Renewal team, all of Koodo Base Management will be your playground, as you help the team reduce churn, manage cost of retention (COR), and drive increased customer step-up revenue. 


 
This role is incredibly cross functional! You will constantly work with the Data Science team to collaborate on models and triggers creation, as well as to innovate on the future of marketing at Koodo. You will liaise with the Koodo and TELUS digital teams to map out customer journeys, as well as manage and prioritize products. You will collaborate with business stakeholders to ensure you are driving the right strategic and financial outcomes. You will wear many hats – some days reviewing model outputs with a data scientist and other days collaborating with your marketing peers to develop the creative strategy for our customer-facing communications – no day is the same, but all days are rewarding!
 

 

What you’ll do
 
 

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Digital, Data Science, Call Centre, Store Channels, Marketing Communications, etc.) to develop and maintain the strategy and roadmap for your portfolio, while helping them innovate on theirs
  • Use business analytics and intelligence tools to pull and synthesize insights to create and drive change that improves the conversion rate of Koodo marketing campaigns
  • Use a test and learn approach to continue to improve & evolve Koodo marketing activities
  • Enable technologies that help Koodo become more automated, personalized, contextual, innovative, and anticipatory in the delivery of marketing activities
  • Identify and prioritize key opportunities within the customer journey and path to purchase
  • Provide updates on program goals / outcomes to key business team members and executives, including: business cases, post mortem analyses and building slides / presentations to support your storytelling
  • Act as a key idea generator for journeys and sales conversion at Koodo by maintaining an in-depth understanding on how journeys, new technology and data can have an impact on business priorities and metrics

You are an out of the box thinker who can come up with new and innovative customer journey opportunities, but you are also analytically driven to ensure we are focusing on the right areas. You are a self-starter who moves fast and is eager to learn. You love working with other people, and collaborating to make big business change!
 

  • You have experience leading and developing cross channel marketing campaigns
  • With superior analytical skills, you can organize information and draw insights from data
  • Known for your excellent project management work, having managed and delivered complex projects involving people, process, technology, and change
  • With exceptional communication and collaboration skills, you build solid relationships with stakeholders, and work with teams to consistently deliver on results
  • No challenge is too hard for you – you are willing to roll up your sleeves and work through ambiguous problems and new paths never taken before
  • You are interested in digital technology and how that can change the way businesses engage with their customers
  • 4-6 years of equivalent experience

  • University or college degree in Marketing, Business Administration: Honors Business Administration (HBA), Commerce, Master of Business Administration (MBA), Economics, or Engineering
  • 3+ years working experience in Marketing or similar business function.
  • Experience with marketing personalization and personalization enabling technologies (e.g. Adobe Experience Cloud)
