This exciting role is at the very center of our Wireline business supporting one of our most important business outcomes - improving customer churn and retention. 

As the Senior Market Manager responsible for Wireline Retention Insights & Strategy, you will be responsible for reporting on Wireline churn performance and trending, uncovering key areas of opportunity and risk, and leading cross-functional teams from across the organization to effectively prioritize and implement initiatives to improve customer retention. 

Together, we will deliver industry-leading customer retention outcomes built on the foundation of our “Customer’s First” promise.


What you’ll do

  • Develop a deep understanding of our Wireline churn results, uncovering key trends, areas of opportunity and risk. In partnership with our data & insights team, you will look to continuously improve customer churn reporting & insights.
  • Be the “go to” person to report on Wireline churn results, insights and key actions to leadership at all levels. You will share strategic overviews, updates, and recommendations to the senior leadership team to assist with decision making and future planning activity.
  • Partner with and lead cross-functional teams across TELUS to improve retention outcomes. This will include working with teams in channel, product, pricing, base management, digital and retention, to name a few.
  • Play a critical role in ensuring our business has a deep understanding of how we can improve customer retention, and that teams across the organization are rallied around those opportunities.

Qualifications


What you bring

  •  An analytical, data-driven marketer who is comfortable digging deep into data to uncover key insights and trends. You are able to take complex data and insights and summarize them clearly and concisely to stakeholders at all levels.
  • The ability to think critically and challenge the status quo, uncovering opportunities to optimize program performance against key performance objectives.
  • Impeccably organized with a proven ability to manage multiple streams of work and multiple stakeholders. 
  • Very strong project management skills, with the ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams.  You have a talent for bringing people together in a positive way, you know how to work effectively across groups, discuss opportunities, tackle problems, and motivate people to take action.
  • Recognized for your superb communication skills, you have an ability to explain complex ideas and insights simply and translate them into practical strategies and recommendations.
  • English verbal and written is required for this opportunity. 


Great-to-haves


  • 7+ years progressive experience in marketing or business management positions
  • Knowledge of the Google suite of applications, notably Slides and Sheets
  • Knowledge of data and insights tools like Tableau and Domo are an asset
  • Experience in telecommunications (mobility and/or home services)
  • Business undergraduate degree in Marketing or communication
Salary Range:  $90,000-$134,000
Performance Bonus or Sales Incentive Plan:  15%

Actual total compensation will be determined based on factors such as knowledge, skills, performance and experience. In addition, TELUS offers rewarding benefits, which may vary per job function, such as:
