As a newly formed TELUS Consumer Solutions (TCS) Marketing Communications team, we’re looking for a passionate and strategic team member to help shape the future of one of our key product portfolios. We have been on an exciting journey in the mobility space that includes launching industry-leading mobility products along with creating best-in-class campaigns for our partnerships with global-leading OEMs including Apple, Samsung, and Google. Working collaboratively with a team of talented marketing experts, you will partner with our advertising agencies and internal stakeholders in delivering world-class solutions and performance, in a fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment to support the mobility portfolio.

We partner with the top agencies and platforms in Canada and around the world, and are at the forefront of exciting transformations within the marketing space.

 

What You’ll do:

 

Working lockstep with your TCS Marketing Communication team and cross-functional teams, you will be responsible for leading the development and execution of marketing communications across Mobility products and device launches. In this role you will own the MarComm portfolio from ideation to execution, across all full funnel media tactics, working closely with our external agency partners to architect captivating communications strategies that lead to world-class creative expressions, supported by efficient and effective media planning and tactics. In addition, you will also support our broader TELUS Social Purpose integration through your customer touchpoints, and help the brand reinforce and celebrate the critical work done in our communities across Canada.

  • Recognized for your performance-minded marketing focus, you are deeply invested in your campaign's ability to deliver results and work diligently to optimize regularly to ensure our targets are met and exceeded
  • Proven track record of end-to-end campaign and program management
  • Recognized for your solutions-oriented problem solving, you thrive in putting complex puzzle pieces together in a fast-paced environment
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a willingness to “roll up your sleeves” and step outside your sandbox when required, coupled with a positive attitude and ability to thrive in an ambiguous environment
  • A natural collaborator with a team-first mentality, with a proven ability to work well with both internal and external team members to push projects forward and support broader corporate goals
  • A natural storyteller, who can rally people around an idea and influence outcomes, with the proven ability to communicate effectively with leadership in forums, formal presentations and written communications (SVP/EVP level)
  • A passionate and enthusiastic marketer with strong creative instincts who keeps up to date on emerging marketing trends and tools and has a proven ability to implement highly recognized creative campaigns rooted in consumer insight
  • Ability to oversee large budgets and manage performance to targets
  • With 5+ years of work experience in a client-side or agency environment, leading large-scale campaigns with high visibility and profile

 

Great-to-haves

 

  • Ad Agency experience
  • Undergraduate degree in Business, Marketing or Commerce (or equivalent experience)
  • Experience working with OEM partners or other partnership experience

Salary Range:  $83,000-$125,000
Performance Bonus or Sales Incentive Plan:  15%

Actual total compensation will be determined based on factors such as knowledge, skills, performance and experience. In addition, TELUS offers rewarding benefits, which may vary per job function, such as:
