We are looking for a proactive, highly-motivated and results driven leader to join the Public Sector Wireless Pricing Team as a Sr Product Manager - Public Wireless Pricing. In this role you will play a key role on the Wireless Pricing team, engaging on large complex deals to drive the best financial outcome for TELUS within the scope of the solution. You will evaluate business case fundamentals on new and existing sales opportunities nationwide with sales management and technical solutions, act as pricing lead, make difficult pricing decisions, maintain established margin and re-rate guidelines, negotiate with sales, aid sales with positioning of offers to clients, and provide assistance to solutions/creative implementation of our product offerings to enhance TELUS’ value proposition to clients


You will also build relationships with key stakeholders in sales, technical solutioning, operations, marketing, and finance, act as an influencer with cross functional and executive groups in order to enhance revenue and gross margin, provide leadership on performance and competitive trends/behaviour, and special projects in support of the overall Wireless pricing team. 


Here’s How 

 

  • Lead the pricing development for assigned deals working closely with the sales and solution team and their clients
  • Demonstrate good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining pricing solutions
  • Perform profitability analysis, competitive evaluation and financial risk assessment on all opportunities
  • Manage conflicting recommendations by communicating strategic business rationale and exploring alternative solutions to put TELUS in a winning position
  • Establish, review and maintain pricing structures and understand, resolve and mitigate risks
  • Analyze and anticipate corporate pricing trends in the market and adapt corporate pricing offers accordingly
  • Drive continuous pricing and pricing-related process improvements and programs; develop business cases and define requirements for new pricing initiatives
  • Participate in strategic bid strategy and financial review meetings with senior executives
  • Document all approved offers and evaluate them based on a defined set of financial metrics
  • Build strong working relationships with stakeholders across various areas of our business including within marketing, strategy and planning, product operations, sales, and finance
  • Participate in strategic financial review meetings with senior executives

 

 

Qualifications

 

You’re the missing piece of the puzzle 

 

  • You have in-depth knowledge of the wireless industry
  • You have experience in building and logically communicating a financial strategy, the analysis, and outcomes
  • You have well-developed communication skills to convey financial and business impact to non-financial stakeholders
  • You have the ability to deliver clear and confident perspectives and recommendations to peers and senior leaders
  • You have the ability to maintain quality & timeliness of deliverables across a number of varied tasks and responsibilities
  • You have excellent organizational and planning skills; able to manage multiple project responsibilities & shifting urgent priorities
  • You have a high tolerance for ambiguity and change while maintaining strong attention to detail
  • You have excellent negotiation and influence skills; must be able to take a lead role in recommending course of action during live negotiations with sales
  • You have outstanding relationship management skills
  • You have advanced knowledge of Excel, financial modeling, analysis and other productivity tools

Required Qualifications: 

 

  • University degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Economics, or Engineering
  • MBA desirable
  • Past work experience in managing a P&L in a large enterprise

 

Great-to-haves: 

 

  • 5-7 years of related work experience in pricing, ideally with Wireless services and products
  • Knowledgeable about Telecommunications Wireless Products/Services
  • Salesforce.com experience is an asset
  • Working experience in marketing, B2B preferred
