TELUS Digital is embarking on the next stage of our journey to help deliver on the TELUS promise to put customers first.  We are looking for a Product Owner that will set our team up for success as we continue to grow our content maturity across TELUS. This opportunity is key in supporting the Content Centre of Excellence team, ensuring our team is set up for success and can simplify delivery of digital experiences to our customers.
 

As a Product Owner, you will be responsible for managing delivery and priorities for various initiatives within the Content Centre of Excellence (CoE) portfolio as well as providing consistent communications and visibility to CoE leadership. This role requires someone who is a self-starter, highly organized, and is a strong communicator.

Here’s how:
 

  • Ability to take the initiative to organize a team. Clarifying ambiguity, devising the plans needed to execute on the strategy and reporting back on outcomes delivered
     
  • Work planning and intake:
    • Manage the team roadmap and proactively work with the team to identify and evaluate risks and develop mitigation strategies
    • Oversee the work intake for the CoE team, track and prioritize requests and ensure they are allocated appropriately
    • Drive value-based work prioritization for all CoE team initiatives
    • Define tangible product roadmap - actively own and be responsible for the product backlog and prioritize based on feedback and value
       
  • Tracking and reporting:
    • Be responsible for tracking, monitoring and reporting on progress of CoE initiatives against the KPIs
    • Track, analyze and report on team KPI. Assist with internal and external communication, improve transparency, and radiate information
    • Provide regular updates about progress of initiatives to the CoE Leadership
       
  • Stakeholders and relationships:
    • Build relationships with a broad array of internal stakeholders to support successful adoption of CoE initiatives
    • Map the priorities coming from the Community of Practice into CoE initiatives
    • Review, compile and communicate feedback from Community of Practice and apply it to the prioritization process

Qualifications


 

You're the missing piece of the puzzle:
 

  • Has 3-6 years of product experience
  • Experienced in Agile methodology and use of JIRA
  • Has the ability to track time and cost against an agreed baseline and provide an early warning of likely deviation
  • Strong communication skills, including facilitation and moderation
  • Highly-organized with a demonstrated ability to manage a high-volume of work
  • Ability to anticipate and manage unplanned work in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated initiative-taking and proactiveness
  • Problem solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively with various stakeholders

 

Great-to-haves:
 

  • Experience with analytics and reporting 
  • Basic understanding of Content, SEO and Information Architecture
