Are you a skilled program manager with an exceptional track record of managing complex, cross-functional programs in a large enterprise environment? Are you passionate about influencing senior leadership teams and unlocking the full potential of strategic projects? Are you a skilled storyteller with an eye for clean design and straightforward communications with experience preparing executive level presentations?
We are looking for a methodical, detail-oriented program manager and executive communicator to support the Business Architecture team at TELUS. This is an exciting role in which you will be involved in delivering on enterprise wide transformational initiatives. We are looking for someone who is excited by technology, can connect platform investments with business outcomes, and demonstrates strong interpersonal skills around relationship building and negotiation skills.

- Strategic Direction
- Ensure we have a unified view of the program progress and direction
- Develop effective processes to improve overall efficiency and productivity across program streams
- Program Execution
- Oversee the list of ongoing and future activities, pace and cadence (eg. weekly/monthly work schedule, meetings, agenda, etc.)
- Establish frameworks to coordinate priorities, track progress, and proactively identify risks
- Drive accountability and progress within core team and across stakeholder groups
- Governance & Executive Communication
- Help manage the program's Leadership Steerco agenda, materials; ensure timely follow-up on take-aways and actions
- Ensure all program communications are produced to the highest standards of quality and clarity
- Coordinate working and leadership level workshops in support of key program topics
Qualifications
You’re the missing piece of the puzzle
- 5+ years experience in program management or strategy, including experience leading large cross-functional programs
- Strategic thinker that can manage ambiguity and execute independently
- Demonstrate a high level of technical curiosity and business knowledge and are quick to apply new knowledge in practice
- Ability to lead by influence, challenge the status quo, embrace new ideas and build consensus and accountability amongst various senior leaders and stakeholder groups
- Exceptional story-telling and communication skills, including experience synthesizing complex and detailed information for senior executive audiences (board memos, executive briefs and newsletters)
- Familiarity, comfort and aptitude for working in a technical environment; the ability to understand the business value of technical initiatives
- Skillful in problem solving and resolving issues in creative ways
- Undergraduate degree in Business or equivalent experience
Great-to-haves
- Experience leading technology architecture/platform transformation programs or other Digital transformation initiatives
- Master’s degree in Business Administration
