Position Overview

 

The M&A Returns Excellence team under Corporate Finance is looking for an enthusiastic and talented Senior Program Manager to lead Post Acquisition and Integration (PAI) planning, support throughout the M&A decision process, and PAI updates.

 

In this role, the successful candidate will collaborate with various M&A teams across a wide variety of stakeholder groups to continue our returns-oriented approach to ensure we have an end-to-end view of our PAI strategy, execution cadence, and ROIC outcomes.

 

We are seeking a ‘hands-on’ individual passionate about coordinating multiple projects under ambiguous circumstances with a high degree of emotional intelligence, thought leadership, and who is known for the ability to deliver with excellence given a limited timeframe.

 

You have solid experience with M&A and a natural ability to form strong working relationships and transform complicated and challenging into clear and simple.

 

You are comfortable working with all levels of our organization, including senior executives.

 

This is How

 

  • Ensures acquisition strategy is aligned to comprehensive and detailed integration/separation plans in collaboration with key stakeholders within the transaction team, business unit and/or target organization; Leverages key lessons learned from other projects
  • Establishes required processes and governance to ensure accountability, identification/mitigation of risks early and monitoring of key results relative to key business performance and post-acquisition integration outcomes
  • Reviews and provides input to Executive Steering Team reports and presentations; Takes inputs from multiple areas/teams and consolidates in summarized strategic level leadership materials
  • Confidently leads and facilitates meetings - coordinate, book, prepare, monitor attendance, distribute materials, draft meeting minutes and update governance documentation
  • Identifies opportunities for automation and facilitates process improvements across the business
  • Coaches other junior resources to a level of proficiency expected; Responsible to oversee deliverables from junior resources
  • Facilitates process to gather input and finalizes the program’s project close document which identifies, among other things, lessons learned to ensure continuous improvement to the integration/separation life cycle

 

 

Qualifications

 

What you bring

 

  • 6-10 years in project management using project management methodologies, principles and practices
  • Experience with post-merger integration/M&A processes and principles
  • Knowledge of financial integration processes
  • Intermediate proficiency in Google Suite of tools. Looker Studio experience an asset
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to interact with all levels of the organization
  • Ability to manage changing priorities/tight deadlines effectively in a very fast-paced environment; ability to navigate ambiguity, overcome confusion, and simplify complex situations
  • Effective at communicating information in written or verbal situations with clarity, and displays developing presentation skills to influence decisions
  • Effective at influencing others over whom they no direct authority, developing a variety of strategies with experience and exposure in different situations
  • Ability to quickly build credibility with all levels of the organization
  • Creative problem solver and adapts in diverse situations
  • Displays the skills necessary to effectively develop and leverage a Commitment Based Management approach (e.g. delivers on commitments, “does the right thing”, displays and encourages honesty and dignity in self and others, takes accountability)

 

Required Professional Designation/Certification

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or other discipline
  • MBA, PMP or equivalent designation

Salary Range:  $94,000-$140,000
Performance Bonus or Sales Incentive Plan:  15%
