About the team

The Network Optimization Team leads large-scale migrations that modernize, simplify, and optimize TELUS’ products, network and systems infrastructure. Partnering across product, systems, business intelligence, marketing, network, and operations, the team drives seamless customer transitions from legacy technologies to next-generation platforms—ensuring migrations are executed smoothly, with minimal customer impact, and delivering the foundation for long-term efficiency, resilience, and innovation.

We sit within the TELUS Business Solutions Product team and support small, medium-sized, and commercial businesses with improved experiences across wireless and wireline product suites.

Here’s the impact you’ll make and what we’ll accomplish together

Managing customer migrations from legacy systems to next-generation tech is complex and risky, demanding tight coordination across product, systems, marketing, and operations teams. While these transitions can be challenging, they also present a tremendous opportunity to strengthen collaboration, enhance customer experiences, and accelerate modernization. The Strategic Migrations Program exists to simplify these efforts, streamline execution, and turn transformation into real business impact and exceptional customer outcomes.

Joining the Strategic Migrations Program team means being at the heart of transformation, driving meaningful change that improves customer experiences, reduces costs, and unlocks new revenue opportunities across our product and systems ecosystem. As a Senior Program Manager, you’ll lead cross-functional projects and deliver seamless migrations and lasting business value. You will work across TELUS Business Product, Operations, Marketing and Care/Customer Experience organizations, gaining meaningful leadership exposure and experience for future growth opportunities.

Here’s how:

  • You will bring our migrations program vision to life by collaborating with Product, Systems, Marketing, Business Intelligence (data), and Care teams to build complex project plans, align priorities and timelines, and oversee governance and risk management
  • You’ll help track and drive progress across stakeholder teams, providing migration updates, highlighting challenges, and presenting decisions and progress to our executive team
  • Proactively work across the business to resolve issues, applying your experience and/or embracing opportunities to learn, get hands-on, and tackle challenges with teams across areas such as product, systems, care, marketing, BI, and capital etc
  • You’ll track migration metrics and P&L impact, report consistently to all levels, develop business cases, and manage capital budgets

Qualifications

You’re the missing piece of the puzzle

  • Project Planning Wizard: You're adept at managing a project end to end and delivering fast results. E.g. Developing a plan, driving accountability and managing through risk
  • Tech Enthusiast: Passionate about TELUS products and systems, focused on delivering great customer experiences, with a strong appetite to learn (experience with TELUS Security/Business Connect product/systems or billing systems is an asset, not required)
  • Results Focused: You deliver & track results, evaluate the effect of initiatives on TELUS performance and P&L, and build business cases to guide decisions and drive impact
  • All-Star Communicator & Influencer: You communicate clearly at all levels, confidently navigate tough conversations, and build strong cross-functional relationships to influence alignment and drive results
