This opportunity is an exciting role as it is the hub of activity for a software development team. A Senior Project Manager is required for the Health Network System (HNS) team for project management and delivery. TELUS' HNS team is the software development team that manages and builds the Ministry of Health Ontario Drug Benefit Program (ODBP) system. This role will provide project management expertise for change requests, new modules, and functionality required by MOH ODBP. This role will suit a well-organized candidate with superb client skills, who is passionate about project management, can multi-task, and has clear communication skills.

Here's how

  • Managing large and small projects as required
  • Managing project staff and resources that includes planning, monitoring, and coordinating tasks
  • Tracking of projects within the Program roadmap, working with other PMs and leads
  • Manage billing and time reporting
  • Resource planning, overall forecast and allocation across multiple projects
  • Assuring compliance with TELUS PMO best practices by adhering to tools and processes
  • Change Management Coordinator, Participate in CAB meetings, submission of CRQ
  • After-hours and weekend implementations
  • Weekly and monthly PMO reporting, including internal and client reporting
  • Preparing presentations and documentation for Governance meeting

Qualifications


What you bring

  • Minimum 10 years of experience as an IT Project Manager
  • A university degree in IT, Computer, Business, or equivalent experience
  • Well versed with phases of Project Management and proven record of managing multiple projects at a time
  • Hands-on experience in SDLC as a project manager
  • Software development experience 
  • Experience delivering Infrastructure projects including network and architecture changes
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Project
  • Proficiency with spreadsheets and financial tracking
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent client-facing skills, polite, calm and confident

 

Nice-to-haves

  • Healthcare/Government experience
  • ITIL v3 certification and ITSM Change Management experience is an asset
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
  • Insurance industry experience
  • Proficiency with SharePoint and G-suite


Tools used

  • MS Project, Jira, SharePoint, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, G-suite and Microsoft products where applicable

 

Other Requirements

  • The candidate is required to pass a Police Vulnerable Sector and Government of Ontario Security Clearance check
  • Work will be mostly remote with team days once per month in the office and potentially 1-2 days per week at the TELUS office, if and when required. 
Salary Range:  $90,000-$134,000
Performance Bonus or Sales Incentive Plan:  15%
