The Acquisition Security Program (ASP) team is looking to add a Security Consultant to our ranks, with experience in security awareness and phishing simulation exercises. This includes everything from working with the corporate security awareness team to deliver awareness training to deploying new phishing simulation software to new mergers and acquisitions. This is a great opportunity to join a highly motivated, forward-thinking team focused on proactively keeping TELUS’ customers, data and systems secure.

As a Security Consultant focused on acquisition security, you will use your skills and experience to help others understand the need for security awareness training and how to properly deploy and configure simulation tools. Your wide-ranging knowledge of security best practices and security technologies will be key to your ability to support the acquisition security program maturation. Additionally, your extensive security knowledge will be used to support process and procedure maintenance activities.

 

Here’s how:

 

  • Assess merger and acquisition security awareness capabilities and provide tailored advice related to TELUS standards and best practices
  • Lead the phishing simulation program by deploying new and maintain existing phishing simulation environments
  • Create detailed, professional responses to queries, both in written and verbal formats
  • Collaborate with other Security Consultants and Subject Matter Experts across TELUS to maintain relevant processes and procedures

 

 

Qualifications

 

You’re the missing piece of the puzzle:

 

  • 2+ years within Security/ IT support
  • 2 + years’ experience with security awareness programs including phishing simulation
  • 2 + years’ experience working with vendors on software, hardware and cloud deployments
  • Ability to explain security controls and the impact of non-compliance to business leaders and stakeholders in a thoughtful, easy to understand way
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, along with create and maintain process documentation that meets security requirements

 

Great to Haves:

 

  • Experience in process and procedure development, improvement and evolution
  • Relevant Security, IT, governance, audit or risk-related certifications (e.g. CISA, CRISC, CISSP, CISM)
  • Bi-lingual (French and English)
