At TELUS, we’re looking for bright people that like solving big problems. And as part of the People & Culture team, you tackle all kinds.  We are as passionate about our team as we are about our customers and we’re looking for people that radiate this passion.

Here’s what we believe:

  • We break down silos - by bringing together multiple business units for great outcomes

Here's the impact you'll make!

Reporting to the Director, Sales Incentives & Recognition, you will be a Senior Strategy Manager on the team, responsible for special strategic projects related to Sales Compensation, in short, medium and long term horizons, and with a global lens.

If you’re entrepreneurial, excited to work with an engaged and collaborative team, and if you value ownership, outcomes, curiosity, iteration and celebration, then this is the team for you! As a Senior Strategy Manager, You will work in our dynamic, cross-functional environment where you will collaborate with multiple stakeholders and business units. You will be part consultant, part project manager, you will get to flex your creativity and program management skills to support our sales teams, and you will have a seat at the table for executive focused strategic discussions and decisions. This is a fantastic opportunity to directly impact and drive performance for our sales teams across all of TELUS business units.

If this sounds like you, join the Sales Incentives & Recognition team and be the envy of all your family and friends!

Here’s How

  • Help shape the future of TELUS Global Rewards programs by establishing and operationalizing processes to manage the integration of new international acquisitions into the TELUS sales incentives ecosystem.

  • Work closely with partner teams to identify opportunities to increase the ROI of incentive programs, and develop processes to reduce over and under payments.

  • Drive and improve communication strategy to enhance lines of communication between the sales incentive teams and sales teams across TELUS so they are supported and receive information in a timely, digestible, and predictable way.

  • Produce and provide guidance on new processes, documentation and workflows to stakeholders

  • Foster a continuous improvement mindset: partner with stakeholders across sales and enablement teams to continue to evolve and improve sales incentive programs and their operationalization.

  • Manage team budget and all finance related deliverables.

  • Prime annual strat check presentations and/or LT reviews and presentations related to Sales Incentives and Recognition initiatives.

  • Act as Post Incident Review prime to identify root causes and develop actionable recommendations for continuous improvement, when major issues arise.

Qualifications

What you bring

  • You’re curious to understand the dynamics of sales incentive strategy; you can define business problems while investigating clear paths to inform and arrive at actionable decisions that balance stakeholder and business outcomes

  • You're willing to challenge the status quo, an analytical thinker who understands, analyzes and optimizes complex business problems, issues and challenges. You provide thoughtful recommendations that link back to specific business problems and goals

  • Exceptional collaboration, relationship management, influencing and negotiation skills.

  • Experienced change management & program management lead: end-to-end ownership of large scale initiatives. Successful track record as a program owner, with the ability to consistently execute effectively end-to-end

  • Demonstrated experience influencing executives including VPs and Senior Vice Presidents: You’re a persuasive communicator who is clear, concise and articulate in all aspects of communication.

  • You manage stakeholder communications well, including to members of cross-functional leadership groups

  • Proven track record leading and delivering on multiple, sometimes ambiguous, complex initiatives simultaneously from creation to tactical implementation

  • You’re a self-starter who thrives in a fast paced, changing environment, has a strong sense of ownership, and is excited to contribute to a fun and collaborative work environment

Advanced knowledge of English is required because you will most of the time interact in English with external parties (clients, suppliers, candidates, external partners, etc.); interact in English with internal parties (colleagues, internal partners, stakeholders, etc.); and work with IT tools whose interface is only accessible in English as part of this position's main responsibilities given its national scope.

Great-to-haves

  • Exposure to a B2B marketing or sales environment

  • Background with sales incentives

  • 5-7 years’ experience in program strategy & execution

  • Don’t have everything you think we need for ‘what it takes’? Don’t let that dissuade you: attitude, motivation, and a willingness to learn and collaborate are the most important things we are looking for.
