Long Description

Our team and what we'll accomplish together

The Mobility Postpaid Commercial team is focused on driving sustainable growth and market leadership through strategic development, executive storytelling, and cross-functional alignment. We don't just analyze the business—we shape its future direction. We develop the strategies that define where we compete and how we win, translate complex business performance into actionable insights, and ensure our stakeholders understand the "why" behind our commercial decisions. Our ultimate goal is to optimize Postpaid Mobility EBITDA and customer value by proactively identifying opportunities, leading strategic pivots, and maintaining organizational alignment on our most critical priorities.

You will be responsible for serving as a strategic partner and thought leader to the Commercial Director, playing a leading role in developing and evolving our commercial strategy while lending support to Commercial teams. You'll translate weekly and quarterly performance into strategic direction, craft compelling narratives for our most senior stakeholders, and orchestrate strategic initiatives that shape the future of our business. This role sits at the intersection of strategic development, analytics, and executive communication—requiring someone who can think strategically, lead with conviction, communicate powerfully, and execute flawlessly.

What you'll do

  • Lead the development and evolution of our commercial strategy, identifying where we should compete, how we should differentiate, and what strategic pivots are needed to maintain market leadership
  • Analyze weekly and quarterly business performance across key metrics (subscriber growth, ARPU, churn, EBITDA) to identify trends, opportunities, and areas requiring strategic intervention—translating insights into strategic recommendations that shape our direction
  • Proactively develop and support strategic recommendations and focus areas based on performance insights, competitive intelligence, market dynamics, and emerging trends—ensuring we're always ahead of the curve rather than reactive
  • Partner with the Commercial Director to define strategic priorities and translate them into actionable roadmaps for Pricing and Marketing teams
  • Build compelling narratives and presentation materials for Investor Relations and Executive Leadership Team audiences that clearly articulate our business performance, strategic direction, and the impact of commercial initiatives
  • Respond to ad-hoc requests from senior leadership with well-researched, data-driven insights and strategic points of view that inform critical business decisions
  • Lead the development and project management of strategic plans and presentations for the CEO (Monty’s, Stratcheck), coordinating across multiple stakeholders including Finance, Marketing, Pricing, Operations, and Product teams
  • Excel at strategic storytelling—translating complex strategies into clear, compelling narratives that inspire action and drive alignment on strategic pivots and new directions
  • Design and deliver quarterly business readouts for the Commercial Director and cross-functional leadership teams, serving as strategic checkpoints to assess progress, challenge assumptions, and identify strategic adjustments needed
  • Create frameworks, tools, and strategic processes that enable the commercial team to stay aligned on strategic priorities and continuously improve execution
  • Build trusted relationships with stakeholders across the organization, serving as a strategic thought partner and ensuring seamless coordination on high-priority initiatives
  • Challenge the status quo and bring fresh perspectives—you're expected to have a point of view on where the business should go and the courage to advocate for it

Qualifications

What you bring

  • Strategic leadership mindset with proven ability to develop strategies, not just analyze them—you know how to identify where to play and how to win
  • Exceptional analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to digest complex data and translate it into clear insights and strategic recommendations that drive business direction
  • Outstanding communication and storytelling abilities—you can craft presentations that resonate with C-suite executives and board members, making complex strategies accessible and compelling
  • Strong executive presence and comfort presenting to senior leadership—with the confidence to advocate for your strategic point of view
  • Experience coordinating cross-functional strat planning  initiatives involving multiple stakeholders and competing priorities
  • Intellectual curiosity and a passion for understanding market dynamics, competitive positioning, and emerging trends that could shape our strategy
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships and influence across all levels of the organization
  • Comfort with ambiguity and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment where priorities can shift quickly
  • Strong business acumen with deep understanding of commercial drivers, financial metrics, and competitive dynamics
  • The courage to challenge assumptions and bring new ideas to the table—we need someone who will help us think differently, not just execute what's already been decided

Great-to-haves

  • 5+ years of progressive work experience in strategy, management consulting, corporate strategy, or similar strategic roles with demonstrated experience developing (not just analyzing) business strategies
  • Industry experience in telecommunications, technology, or related sectors
  • Experience working directly with C-suite executives and preparing materials for board or investor audiences
Track record of leading strategic initiatives that resulted in meaningful business pivots or new strategic directions
  • Proficiency in data visualization tools (Tableau) a nice to have
  • Post-secondary degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or similar—MBA is an asset but not required
  • Experience building strategic frameworks
  • Background in competitive strategy, market positioning, or business model innovation
