As a Senior Strategy Manager, you’ll adopt an “internal consultant” approach to address strategic competitor and customer-facing challenges. By collaborating with various teams and business units, you will manage the Commercial & Public Industry Solutions KPIs and financial planning for our product portfolio and TBS Marketing’s operating expenses. You'll connect day-to-day activities with TELUS’ broader strategy to identify and solve key business challenges.
Here's how
- Own, manage, and improve budgeting, forecasting, and triage strategies for P&L revenue and margin growth
- Oversee the operating expenses budgeting, forecasting and triage strategy for the marketing team
- Act as the key contact for P&L and Marketing Operating Expenses, collaborating with senior leadership, Finance, and cross-functional teams to provide stewardship and drive strong business outcomes
- Set targets and monitor the performance of core KPIs including activations, deactivations, and average revenue and margin per line (ARPU/AMPU)
- Review segment results to identify and solve financial business challenges
- Develop relationships across TBS and other organizational units to ensure alignment with strategic priorities
- Contribute to senior leadership presentations, strategy checks, board advances, and monthly financial reviews
Qualifications
You're the missing piece of the puzzle
- Data-Driven: Skilled in analyzing data and extracting insights, with proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets, where you are comfortable developing monthly, quarterly, and annual budgets from scratch
- Team Player: Naturally builds collaborative relationships with cross-functional teams and can reconcile data discrepancies or budget targets
- Big Picture Thinker: Always sees the larger strategy, finding ways to align daily activities with TELUS’ goals
- Organized and Strategic: Skilled at pulling together complex information and presenting concise, actionable insights to leadership
Great-to-haves
- MBA or equivalent in Finance or Statistics, CFA or similar designation
- In-depth understanding of the TELUS business and products
- Minimum of 3 years in Finance or Planning
