The Strategy / M&A team within TELUS Health's Growth & Marketing department is at the forefront of identifying where and how TELUS Health will grow. In this role, you'll lead strategic market analysis and opportunity assessment that directly shapes our growth roadmap. You'll combine deep analytical rigor with emerging AI tools to uncover market insights, assess competitive positioning, and identify high-potential growth opportunities that build on our existing market strengths. This is a pivotal role for someone who wants to drive strategic decisions with data and intelligence—not just intuition.

 

This is a fixed-term position with an anticipated end date of October 1st, 2027.

 

 

What you'll do

 

 

  • Lead comprehensive market analysis and competitive landscape assessments to identify growth opportunities that leverage TELUS Health's existing capabilities and market position
  • Develop and maintain TELUS Health's strategic growth roadmap by translating corporate objectives into prioritized geographies, product/capability areas, and market opportunities
  • Assess current market share across key segments and geographies, analyzing competitive dynamics to inform where we should focus expansion efforts
  • Conduct ongoing research on market trends, emerging players, and consolidation patterns to identify acquisition or partnership targets that align with strategic priorities
  • Support M&A activities by conducting opportunity assessments, performing market analysis, developing financial models, and preparing business cases with financial projections and synergy analysis
  • Partner with business unit leaders and cross-functional teams to evaluate growth opportunities and present strategic recommendations and findings to senior leadership
  • Leverage AI tools and advanced analytics to streamline research, enhance data analysis, improve financial modeling efficiency, and increase the quality and speed of strategic assessments and presentations

Qualifications


What you bring

 

 

  • Broad knowledge of the global healthcare market, with a strong understanding of competitive dynamics, market consolidation trends, and where the market is heading
  • 5+ years of experience developing or contributing to corporate/business unit strategy, including market sizing, competitive analysis, and sourcing and vetting growth opportunities
  • Proven experience supporting or leading M&A transactions, including opportunity assessment, due diligence, and financial analysis
  • Strong financial acumen and solid financial modeling skills, including the ability to build driver-based business cases with NPV, ROI, and valuation methodologies (DCF, comparable company analysis)
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize complex data into clear, actionable strategic recommendations
  • Demonstrated expertise leveraging AI tools, data analytics platforms, and automation to enhance market research, accelerate financial analysis, and improve the quality and efficiency of strategic work
  • Proven ability to identify opportunities to apply AI and technology solutions to streamline processes, reduce manual work, and generate better insights faster
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present strategic options and findings in a clear, compelling manner to senior leadership
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams, coordinate across cross-functional teams, and deliver under pressure in a dynamic environment
     
Salary Range:  $86,000-$136,000
Performance Bonus or Sales Incentive Plan:  15%

Actual total compensation will be determined based on factors such as knowledge, skills, performance and experience.
