In this role as a Senior. Strategy Manager, you will be responsible for creating the long term vision, roadmaps and strategy for multiple sales and shopping systems at TELUS. You will manage opportunity evaluations and delivery by partnering with various TELUS business units to ensure consumer & business solutions have the system and architecture roadmap to succeed. You will collaborate with cross functional teams to support the right prioritization and delivery of capabilities in our systems that will impact the customer and sales teams experiences.
Here’s how
- Create an interlocked future state plan by gaining alignment with cross-functional business units
- Help to define models, processes and success metrics to enable delivery of new capabilities
- Support the Capital planning process across multiple stakeholder groups. Partner with multiple teams in the organization to identify opportunities, build business cases, present capital asks to executive stakeholders, manage secured funding and provide oversight on the execution strategy.
- Coordinate across several technical teams to ensure that desired business outcomes and capabilities are being delivered
- Assess opportunity cost and trade-offs in delivery schedule of initiatives
- Effectively manage the funnel of opportunity evaluations and drive alignment on initiatives between business and enabling units at an early stage through socialization
- Work closely with the stakeholders to collaboratively update the strategic outlook, identifying opportunities and threats in the coming years, ensuring individual program strategies will contribute to establishing TELUS as the easiest Telecommunications company to do business with
- Identify future service needs to ensure our stores are making adequate and timely investments in key areas; augment the opportunity evaluations funnel as needed
- Manage on-going program capital and financials including developing and tracking program KPIs and monthly & quarterly spend forecasts
Qualifications

- You are a self-starter with proven organization and time-management skills and the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and deadlines
- You have experience leading large complex programs and high performance teams
- Your technical curiosity helps you simplify complex problems between teams
- You have the ability to adapt to changing priorities and are comfortable working with ambiguity with a demonstrated ability to think creatively and strategically
- Experience with executive reporting
- You are able to quantify goals and results in the creation and implementation of business strategies
- University degree in business, commerce or related discipline and 2-4 years of relevant experience
Great-to-haves
- Telecommunications expertise and/or experience
- Knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle (agile & waterfall frameworks)
- Experience working with development teams and knowledge of technology development processes
