The Business Convergence and Commerce team delivers exceptional business value through converged technology solutions that power key business priorities at TELUS across all lines of business, brands and segments.


We are looking for a highly-motivated and results driven individual to join the Signature Programs team to shape the future of our distribution channels. This is an exciting role in which the team member will be responsible for defining and implementing strategic initiatives in TELUS owned & independent channels (Dealer, National Retail), to deliver on key strategic objectives for TELUS Consumer & Business Solutions.


What you’ll do


In this role, you will be responsible for creating the long term vision, strategy and roadmaps for our distribution channels. You will manage opportunity evaluations and collaborate with cross functional teams to support the right prioritization and delivery of capabilities and experiences for our customers and sales teams. You will:

 

  • Spearhead the creation and execution of comprehensive Channel strategies designed to support and enhance the successful launch and adoption of new initiatives
  • Create and maintain detailed Channel roadmaps and delivery plans, ensuring clear prioritization and alignment with overarching business objectives
  • Play a key role in the capital planning processes by creating business cases, securing funding, forecasting budget, and managing program finances
  • Facilitate resource interlock sessions to drive cross-functional alignment and optimize resource utilization
  • Provide regular Channel roadmap updates and ensure effective socialization across relevant all stakeholder groups
  • Proactively engage with stakeholders to maintain strategic alignment for in-flight initiatives and secure buy-in for new initiatives
  • Continuously monitor and update the strategic outlook, identifying emerging trends and anticipating future service needs
  • Manage the opportunity evaluation funnel, rigorously assessing potential opportunities and gaining strategic alignment for high-potential initiatives
  • Serve as a key representative for Channel capital initiatives, advocating for their importance and securing necessary support
  • Take ownership of specific projects within the Channel roadmap, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required scope

 

 

Qualifications

 

You’re the missing piece of the puzzle

 

  • You are a self-starter with proven organization and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and deadlines
  • You have the ability to adapt to changing priorities and are comfortable working with ambiguity, with a demonstrated ability to think creatively and strategically
  • You are recognized for using data to drive decisions and action
  • You are comfortable communicating at all levels (senior leaders, external stakeholders, partners and developers)
  • You are able to quantify goals and results in the creation and implementation of business strategies
  • University degree in business, commerce or related discipline and 2-4 years of relevant experience

 

Great-to-haves

 

  • Telecommunications industry expertise and/or experience
  • Knowledge/experience of front line and sales processes
  • Experience working with development teams and knowledge of technology development processes

 

 

Salary Range:  $102,000-$154,000
Performance Bonus or Sales Incentive Plan:  15%

Actual total compensation will be determined based on factors such as knowledge, skills, performance and experience. In addition, TELUS offers rewarding benefits, which may vary per job function, such as:
