What you’ll do

 

As the Senior Strategy Manager for Data Products, you'll be the strategic architect behind our flagship data product portfolio, reporting directly to the Senior Director of Data Products. Your responsibilities will include:

 

  • Own the Data Product Strategy: Develop and execute comprehensive strategies for our flagship data products, ensuring alignment with TELUS Health's vision and market opportunities
  • Drive Product Roadmap: Create and maintain strategic roadmaps that balance innovation, customer needs, competitive differentiation, and business objectives
  • Capital Planning & Resource Allocation: Lead capital planning processes, building business cases and securing investment for strategic initiatives that drive growth and innovation
  • Market Differentiation: Continuously assess the competitive landscape and identify opportunities to differentiate our insights products with cutting-edge AI and analytics capabilities
  • Strategic Partnerships: Identify and cultivate strategic partnerships that enhance our product capabilities and market reach
  • Cross-functional Leadership: Collaborate with product, engineering, data science, clinical, sales, and marketing teams to ensure cohesive strategy execution
  • Performance Metrics: Define and track key performance indicators to measure product success, market adoption, and business impact
  • Thought Leadership: Represent TELUS Health at industry events, contribute to thought leadership, and stay ahead of emerging trends in health tech, AI, and employee wellness
  • Stakeholder Management: Present strategic recommendations to senior leadership and influence decision-making at the executive level

 

 

Qualifications

 

What you bring

 

  • Strategic Expertise: 7+ years of experience in strategy, product management, or management consulting, with at least 3 years focused on data products, analytics, or AI/ML solutions
  • Healthcare Domain Knowledge: Deep understanding of healthcare, employee benefits, or population health management, with familiarity in clinical insights and wellness programs
  • Data Product Acumen: Proven track record of developing and launching successful data-driven products or platforms, preferably in B2B SaaS or health tech environments
  • Business Acumen: Strong financial modeling skills with experience in capital planning, ROI analysis, and building compelling business cases
  • AI/ML Understanding: Working knowledge of artificial intelligence, machine learning, and advanced analytics applications in healthcare or enterprise settings
  • Strategic Thinking: Exceptional ability to synthesize complex information, identify patterns, and develop actionable strategies that drive business outcomes
  • Leadership: Demonstrated ability to influence without direct authority and lead cross-functional initiatives in matrixed organizations
  • Communication Excellence: Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distill complex concepts for diverse audiences including C-suite executives
  • Analytical Rigor: Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills, with proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools
  • Education: Bachelor's degree required; MBA or advanced degree in a relevant field (Healthcare Administration, Data Science, Business, etc.) strongly preferred

 

Great-to-haves

 

  • Experience working in digital health startups or innovation labs within large healthcare organizations
  • Knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance requirements (HIPAA, PHIPA, GDPR)
  • Background in management consulting

 

 

Salary Range:  $102,000-$154,000
Performance Bonus or Sales Incentive Plan:  15%

Actual total compensation will be determined based on factors such as knowledge, skills, performance, experience and location. Additionally, TELUS offers rewarding benefits, which may vary per job function, such as:
