Our team and what we'll accomplish together

The Enterprise and Public Sector (EPB) Wireless Strategy and Planning team is a high-performing, close-knit group at the heart of TELUS' business — and there's no team quite like us! We lead the management of the EPB Wireless profit and loss (P&L), combining sophisticated forecasting, predictive analytics and strategic business intelligence to drive decisions that matter. We're small and nimble, which means you'll have the opportunity to work across many functions, grow quickly and make a real impact.

As a Senior Strategy Manager, you'll bring an internal consultant mindset to the role — becoming the trusted expert on our Contra and Equipment Margin portfolio. You'll build strong relationships with Finance, Sales and Marketing stakeholders, and translate complex data into clear, compelling narratives that shape executive decision-making and drive our wireless strategy forward.

What you'll do

  • Own and continuously improve the EPB Wireless budgeting, forecasting and triage strategy for Contra and Equipment Margin, leveraging advanced statistical modeling to drive revenue and margin growth
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the Enterprise and Public Sector Wireless Contra and Equipment Margin portfolios, partnering with senior executives, Finance and cross-functional teams to deliver data-driven insights and strong business outcomes
  • Set targets and monitor core key performance indicators (KPIs) — including total credit spending, device sale volume and margin — using real-time analytics and automated reporting systems
  • Lead ad hoc deep dives into customer behaviours, market trends and emerging opportunities, translating findings into actionable recommendations through compelling visualizations and executive-ready presentations
  • Identify financial opportunities and resolutions by regularly reviewing segment results and applying process automation, predictive modeling and AI-powered insights
  • Build and maintain strong relationships across the Wireless Marketing team and broader organization to ensure alignment on strategic priorities and financial impacts
  • Contribute to executive presentations — including strategy reviews, board advances and monthly financial reviews — transforming complex data into clear, impactful stories that drive our wireless strategy

What you bring

  • Proven experience analyzing complex datasets and transforming them into compelling narratives, with proficiency in advanced data visualization tools such as Tableau, Looker Studio or Power BI
  • Demonstrated expertise in statistical modeling, revenue forecasting and building sophisticated monthly, quarterly and annual budget models from scratch using Excel and/or Google Sheets
  • Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with cross-functional teams, including identifying data discrepancies, validating model assumptions and negotiating budget targets with key stakeholders
  • Strong strategic thinking skills with the ability to connect day-to-day forecasting activities to long-term business goals while identifying emerging market trends and risks
  • Skilled at identifying manual, repetitive processes and implementing automated solutions to improve efficiency and accuracy in planning workflows
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to synthesize complex information into concise, actionable insights for senior leadership through written reports and dynamic presentations

Great-to-haves

  • Master of Business Administration (MBA) or equivalent advanced degree in Finance, Statistics, Data Science or Business Analytics
  • Experience with SQL or BigQuery for data extraction and analysis, and/or advanced technical skills in cloud analytics platforms such as AWS, GCP or Azure
  • Background in telecommunications industry forecasting, revenue management and/or strategic planning
  • In-depth understanding of the TELUS business, particularly Contra, Equipment Margin and IFRS-15 accounting standards

Salary Range:  $86,000-$136,000
Performance Bonus or Sales Incentive Plan:  15%

Actual total compensation will be determined based on factors such as knowledge, skills, performance and experience. We encourage all qualified candidates to apply, even if the posted salary range doesn't match your expectations. We're open to discussing competitive compensation packages tailored to your experience level and expertise. TELUS offers rewarding benefits, which may vary per job function, such as:
