The Impact You’ll Make and What We’ll Accomplish Together:


As a Sr. Strategy Manager, you’ll oversee resource planning and forecasting, ensuring project alignment while balancing efficiency and costs. Your role will enhance workforce allocation through data-driven decision-making, skills assessment, and automation, to ultimately build the Resource Management Practice. Work with Technical Delivery Leads to understand organization capabilities and identify utilization improvements. You will identify risks, mitigate conflicts, and improve utilization tracking to support leadership’s strategic planning.


Here’s How:


Around Resource Planning & Forecasting, you will:

  • Manage workforce planning across staff augmentation, contractors, and sub-contractors
  • Align active and upcoming projects with forecasted resource demand

 

With regard to Capacity & Utilization Management, you will:

  • Monitor resource utilization rates to ensure optimal workforce balance
  • Collaborate with Leads and PMs to mitigate over/under allocation risks

 

As pertains to Conflict Resolution & Risk Mitigation, you will:

  • Identify and resolve resource conflicts by leveraging data-driven insights
  • Ensure strategic alignment between business needs and workforce availability

 

Regarding Skills Assessment & Workforce Development, you will:

  • Continuously evaluate skills and performance output across teams
  • Recommend upskilling initiatives to address skill gaps

 

When it comes to Data Analysis & Performance Insights, you will:

  • Analyze resource allocation trends to track efficiency and optimize budgets
  • Assess actual vs. forecasted performance and report utilization gaps

 

Specific to Innovation & Automation, you will:

  • Automate resource tracking and enhance process efficiency through technology
  • Propose and implement new tools to improve workforce forecasting

 

 

Qualifications

You are likely in a similar strategy, program or resource management role and have many of the following abilities and experience points:

 

  • You are known for data analysis and resource management
  • You resolve workforce conflicts using data-driven insights
  • You are a master at aligning resource allocation with business and budget goals
  • You are a proficient user of resource forecasting tools and workforce planning strategies
  • You are renowned for stakeholder management and leadership collaboration


Great-to-Haves:


We are especially motivated to connect with individuals with one or more of the following:

 

  • Experience in a Resource Management Office (RMO) or similar function
  • Professional certifications, such as PMP, Six Sigma, or Workforce Planning Specialist
  • Familiarity with automation tools, Smartsheets, Power BI, or Excel modeling

 

 

Salary Range:  $102,000-$154,000
Performance Bonus or Sales Incentive Plan:  15%

Actual total compensation will be determined based on factors such as knowledge, skills, performance and experience. In addition, TELUS offers rewarding benefits, which may vary per job function, such as:
