Here’s the impact you’ll make and what we’ll accomplish together

This position combines driving business unit (BU) strategies and delivering transformative organizational initiatives. The ideal person will act as a strategic partner to BU leaders, align priorities with corporate goals, and lead transformative efforts to uncover opportunities, improve performance, and enable growth. You’ll combine strong analytical skills with business acumen to deliver actionable insights and solutions that drive measurable impact. As a Senior Strategy Manager, reporting to the Head of Strategy, you will be a critical cross-functional change agent, working closely with both internal team members and external partners to shape the future of digital and physical health.

As a Senior Strategy Manager, you will lead strategic planning, drive transformative initiatives and deliver data-informed insights that guide critical decisions. Here’s a sample of the exciting things you will be doing:

You’ll translate long-term company goals into actionable roadmaps, perform gap analyses to identify strategic opportunities and ensure alignment between business units and corporate priorities. You’ll develop 3–5 year strategic plans that incorporate both market trends and competitive insights
  • Insight Development and Financial Modelling: Leverage data to craft compelling strategies, evaluating new market opportunities, forecasting revenue potential and assessing investment cases. You’ll develop sophisticated financial models, conduct ROI and sensitivity analyses and create scenario planning models to evaluate trade-offs. Incorporate cost-benefit analyses into all major strategic projects to ensure alignment with value creation goals
  • Driving Growth and Innovation: Identify whitespace opportunities, synthesize market trends, and monitor the competitive landscape to build business cases for new ventures or product rationalization. Participate in due diligence for strategic initiatives, evaluate business models, and explore automation and digital transformation to unlock untapped potential. Act as an “intrapreneur,” connecting dots across TELUS, TELUS Health, and TELUS International to surface new opportunities and foster collaboration
  • Operational Excellence and Value Creation: Lead process improvement initiatives, identifying cost savings opportunities and implementing strategic cost-reduction programs. Optimize vendor and procurement strategies, including vendor consolidation, and establish best-in-class benchmarks across regions and business units. Design and maintain operational efficiency metrics, internal benchmarking systems and dashboards that provide actionable insights for leadership
  • Collaborative Leadership: Manage cross-functional projects with a focus on stakeholder engagement, effective communication and timely execution. Balance day-to-day responsibilities with forward-looking initiatives while anticipating future needs and driving performance improvement
  • Continuous Learning and Adaptability: Conduct targeted research, synthesize findings and adapt tools and methodologies to produce meaningful insights. Maintain a growth-oriented mindset, seeking professional development opportunities and applying innovative solutions to strategic challenges
