The Wireless Core team within Platforms, Technology, and Services (PT&S) spans critical services including voice, messaging, and mobility services for consumers and businesses. From technology development to deployment and service assurance, our work is fundamental to TELUS' success in connecting Canadians.

We are seeking a Senior Strategy Manager to lead critical process documentation and improvement initiatives that directly enhance operational efficiency, collaboration, and service delivery. This high-visibility role combines strategic planning, process optimization, and stakeholder leadership to define the future direction of our operational excellence initiatives. As a key leader, you'll partner with executives and cross-functional teams across the Wireless Core organization to shape strategic direction, streamline processes, and optimize operations.

What you'll do

Strategic Process Leadership:

  • Design and execute strategic roadmaps for workflow improvement initiatives that drive competitive advantage and measurable operational outcomes
  • Lead comprehensive process assessments to identify gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for optimization across Wireless Core operations
  • Develop and implement repeatable, formalized processes for roadmap ideation, requirements gathering, and change/incident management

Process Documentation & Improvement:

  • Facilitate stakeholder workshops with Wireless Core teams and internal stakeholders to assess current-state collaboration methods
  • Lead 'blank slate' business process redesign initiatives rather than retrofitting existing workflows
  • Create formal documentation outlining improved workflows, handoffs, and operational procedures
  • Deliver clear, actionable process maps, SOPs, and playbooks that enhance cross-functional collaboration

Operational Excellence:

  • Drive operational improvements by streamlining processes, enhancing cross-functional communication, and leveraging digital tools
  • Identify opportunities to apply AI and automation for improved efficiency and decision-making
  • Monitor business performance through KPIs and strategic analysis, providing actionable insights for strategy refinement
  • Recommend tools, communication methods, and governance models to sustain new processes

Key Deliverables

  • Stakeholder interview and workshop schedules
  • Current vs. future state process maps
  • Written documentation of new collaboration models and operational procedures
  • RACI matrices, intake forms, and governance cadence recommendations
  • Strategic roadmaps and business transformation initiatives
  • Executive briefing materials and performance dashboards

What you bring

  • 5+ years of experience in business process improvement, operational excellence, strategy consulting, or corporate strategy roles
  • Proven ability to lead strategic initiatives from concept to execution, delivering measurable business results and driving business transformation
  • Strong background in stakeholder alignment and business process reengineering with demonstrated experience facilitating cross-functional workshops
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with demonstrated financial acumen and ability to translate complex data into clear insights and actionable recommendations
  • Outstanding communication, presentation, and storytelling skills, with experience delivering clear, persuasive narratives to senior executives
  • Proven ability to build trusted relationships across senior leadership and cross-functional teams, driving alignment and coordinated execution
  • Experience managing and executing large, complex projects, balancing strategic thinking with hands-on delivery
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced, evolving environments, quickly assessing shifting priorities and navigating ambiguity
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, or a related field; MBA or relevant graduate degree is an asset

Great-to-haves:

  • Telecommunications/technology industry experience
  • Familiarity with TELUS culture, telecom environments, or Agile frameworks
  • 5+ years of working knowledge of strategic planning methodologies
  • Proficiency with Google Suite and digital collaboration tools
