Our Digital Business Operations team is looking for experienced strategists to optimize investment returns across the portfolios of business, customer, experience, and technology at TELUS Digital. 

This includes budget planning and governance, program delivery, stakeholder partnerships, and thought leadership applied throughout our Digital Investment Portfolio. 

On the job, you will combine financial insights, investment analysis, and business requirements to ensure delivery of our long-term digital strategy and roadmap. This role is an exceptional opportunity to stretch yourself, continue to build new skills, and accelerate your career.

In the Digital Business Operations team, we challenge our assumptions and beliefs on a daily basis, thrive in ambiguity, adapt to constant change, and collaborate with leaders and stakeholders across TELUS as we connect the dots across TELUS Digital and our enterprise-wide portfolios.

Here's how


  • Be a relationship manager with key stakeholders for a subset of portfolios in Digital (including executives, project leads, vendors) to help drive critical business, experience, and technology outcomes (e.g. partnering with vendors and analysts to optimize investment spend, doability, forecast accuracy)
  • Develop, communicate, thought leadership and business cases to senior leaders across TELUS to inform optimal investment decision making (e.g. dynamically re-prioritizing capital investments)
  • Leverage a methodical approach to research, and analysis to inform executive-level decision making and prioritize investments (e.g. based on scorecard KPIs, recommend a different prioritized set of investments at either portfolio view or at consolidated Digital view)
  • Drive the Capital planning process, including sizing business opportunities, helping to build business cases, defining the implementation strategy, presenting capital asks to executive stakeholders and driving the execution strategy for funded initiatives
  • Consult with various impacted teams and stakeholders to develop understanding of various perspectives, opportunities, and impacts that will inform program objectives and meet the requirements of the business.
  • Assess opportunity cost and trade-offs in delivery schedule of initiatives
  • Manage on-going program capital and financials including developing and tracking program KPIs and monthly & quarterly spend forecasts 
  • Drive interlock between our strategic programs, capital planning processes, and scorecard management to maximize value delivery

  • You have demonstrated experience modeling in Business Capabilities framework mapping to end to end value streams across strategy and operations
  • You are passionate about delivering customer experience and experience with customer journey mapping, non-functional and agnostic requirements management
  • You are a self-starter with proven organization and time-management skills and the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and deadlines 
  • You have a strong desire to “roll up your sleeves” to get things done
  • You have the ability to adapt to changing priorities and are comfortable working with ambiguity with a demonstrated ability to think creatively and strategically
  • You enjoy making complex problems easy to understand and can present solutions, impacts, and outcomes of various solutions.
  • You have excellent communication (written and verbal), interpersonal and presentation skills 
  • You are comfortable working with all levels of management across the organization; experience with executive reporting an asset 
  • You are able to quantify goals and results in the creation and implementation of business strategies
  • You have experience leading large complex programs and high performance teams
  • University degree in business, commerce or related discipline and 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Ability to drive executive-level priorities with minimal direction
  • Embrace all things digital and thrive in a fast paced, agile environment
