TELUS Supply Operations purchases, manages and distributes all materials and services for our company from infrastructure to consumer mobile through over 1,000 points of presence, and direct to our customers. We are transforming how we deliver service to our customers, and to the communities in which we live and work.

 

Your new team owns demand and supply planning, purchasing and inventory management for TELUS’ consumer businesses including wireless mobile products and in-home TV, Internet and Security services. Importantly, supporting TELUS’ leadership in sustainability, your new team also owns reverse logistics and reuse of TELUS’ in-home products.


What you’ll do

 

You will be responsible for creating and managing the supply plan for your portfolio, focussed on the refurbishment and reuse of TELUS’ in-home products. Responsible for purchasing, scheduling and managing the flow of materials and services you will contribute to TELUS’ sustainability efforts through the reuse of products while supporting our customers and business goals. You will:

 

  • Establish and execute inventory plans to meet business goals including financial, availability, inventory turns and obsolescence
  • Communicate supply plans to stakeholders at different levels with insights derived from system and supplier data to support decision making
  • Establish and curate meaningful supplier relationships to ensure the timely delivery of products and services, and to continually improve service level expectations and performance
  • Manage the introduction of new products into the refurbishment and reuse process, collaborating with stakeholders in technology, marketing and procurement
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and lead projects to implement business and process improvements to, for example, reduce cost, improve supply reliability and service, and reduce team member effort
  • Provide analysis and insights to guide and support stakeholders to ensure that suppliers provide materials or services at competitive prices

 

 

Qualifications

 

  • Experience in demand or supply planning, and execution tools (e.g. ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning) to an intermediate/advanced level
  • Experience of purchasing and inventory management with a thorough understanding of principles and methods including industry standard compliance requirements
  • Proven ability to provide in-depth data analytics and insights to influence and support decision making within Supply Operations and TELUS business units
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to effectively communicate inventory and supply related concepts, plans and issues
  • A record of planning, executing and implementing process improvement initiatives
  • Ability to establish, curate and manage supplier relationships in a fair, collaborative manner while ensuring TELUS' requirements are met
  • Degree in a related field
  • 6-8 years of relevant experience. An experienced Demand / Supply Planner

  • Detailed knowledge and experience of SAP S4 / Blue Yonder
  • SCM designation

 

 

Salary Range:  $67,000-$101,000
Performance Bonus or Sales Incentive Plan:  12%

Actual total compensation will be determined based on factors such as knowledge, skills, performance and experience. In addition, TELUS offers rewarding benefits, which may vary per job function, such as:
