Our Support and Implementation team offers a high level of exposure to a diverse range of always challenging and ever rewarding opportunities while working on leading edge technologies. Comprised of passionate specialists with a propensity for ongoing success, we are responsible for the development, operational readiness and support of TELUS Health Electronic Medical Records platforms.

 

As the newest member of our team, you will be focusing on work alongside this highly collaborative group of team members as well as several strategic vendor partners. Within this environment you will not only gain valued experience but contribute directly to the optimization and support of TELUS Health Electronic Medical Records platforms.

As a member of the EMR Support and Implementation team you will utilize DevOps principles to evaluate current and new solutions, discover, evaluate, and provide next level support to EMR platforms. Your contributions will directly impact our ongoing pursuit to enhance our infrastructure and dashboard reporting to provide real time health alerts of our service to be used by our frontline and support teams to quickly identify problems and in turn help reduce mean time to repair and provide after action reports which will enhance the understanding of the health status of our services.

Qualifications

  • Commended for being a fast learner and resourceful
  • Known for effective time management and ability to work independently and with a team
  • Research, analytical and problem solving skills
  • Recognized for your initiative and owning complex issues through to resolution
  • Experience with DB technologies like Oracle, MySQL, MSSQL, MongoDB and Database Monitoring systems
  • Expertise in SQL, Stored Procedures, performance improvement of DB queries, Data Modelling
  • Experience with the internals of a distributed compute engine (Spark, Presto, DBT, or Flink/Beam)
  • Experience in query optimization, resource allocation and management, and data lake performance (Presto, SQL)
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure (any one of AWS, GCP or Azure Cloud)
  • Experience deploying and scaling ML solutions using open-source frameworks (MLFlow, TFX, H2O, etc.)
  • Background and practical experience in statistics and/or computational mathematics (Bayesian and Frequentist approaches, NumPy, PyMC3, etc.)
  • Modern Big-Data storage technologies (Iceberg, Hudi, Delta)
  • Some knowledge of AWS technologies, specifically DB related
  • Experience with Data Analytics
  • Strong sense of business ownership and customer focus
  • Advanced oral and written English language and communication skills
 
Great-to-haves
 
  • Knowledge of and Experience with the following:
    • Jira, Confluence, Jenkins
    • Palantir Foundry
    • Linux RHEL and CentOS administration
